Since this is a natural rug there are woven parts that stick out/become loose. Wouldn't recommended for a high traffic area. However, for a natural rug, it does feel nice on the feet!

Decent neutral rug. Would not recommend for dining

I bought the round 7'x7' on sale and this is how it's held up for the past two years. The fabric border shows dirt and dust quite easily, however the jute itself is good at masking stains. The braiding is a bit thick so it catches on chair legs. If you have pets they might consider this a scratching post or a chew toy-- watch out because the braid does lift easily as seen in the second photo. This is a good nondescript, placeholder rug but you get what you pay for.

I bought the square one for our small covered front porch. It looks so nice, stylish and I get many compliments on it. Well made, has held up to daily use, weather and being scraped by the bottom of the storm door. Definitely recommend. Would purchase again.

Rug pile height is incorrect. Thick Jute rug

Beautiful rug but the product description is incorrect. The pile height is not less than .25" high it is much thicker closer to 1/2" (.5") high. Unfortunately it won't clear my door so back it goes.

Good Sturdy Jute Rug

This is a good, sturdy rug that arrived quickly, well-packaged, and layed completely flat when unrolled. All of the many Overstock rugs I have purchased have arrived in the same excellent condition, and with free shipping, I am a very happy customer. Of course, Safavieh rugs never disappoint, as they are of excellent quality. The online picture and description is accurate.

This rug is gorgeous. I love the colour, the pattern, the texture and the thickness. I did buy a rug pad for underneath and it makes it even more comfortable. It's a great welcoming message for my house guests, kids or any other visitors. I'm using it for wet winter boots (slush, salt) so to prevent the natural fibers from any possible dampness or smell, I've added a small plastic mat on top.

Pretty but odor is unbearable

The rug is pretty and as pictured but must have been stored in a musty warehouse where it picked up an awful humid musty smell that I can't seem to get out. I can't sit in the room with the door closed. I've tried baking soda, carpet fresh, etc. After vacuming three times some fibers are starting to fray. It's a shame because the size is perfect for the space.

Rug was not 7x7 as advertised...

Rug is everything as expected, except it was short 4 circular inches...I have it under our dining table (7 ft would have been perfect), which makes it a tight squeeze to fully pull a dining chair out to be seated. That's a little irritating--but too much trouble to return. I wish the ad would specify that it's "approximately" 7 ft round. I've encountered the same sizing disparity before with other rugs I've ordered from Overstock.

Look for a different jute rug

The look of the rug is nice, but because of the organic nature of it, it does not maintain a rectangle. Instead I keep having to adjust it to straighten the sides, which doesn't work out so well. Also, beware of some serious shedding with this rug. Don't plan to sit on the floor lest you get covered with small fibers.

Highly recommended

Safavieh is our go to brand for area rugs. This handmade natural fiber jute rug does the job! It was not too rough underfoot. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Highly recommend this rug.

Looks great in my bathroom! This runner fit perfectly in what was an otherwise awkward space. The grass material is really great quality and doesn't show any signs of wear even with wet feet From the shower stepping on it daily.

Don't buy this rug! I made this mistake and was sent a rug that looks NOTHING like the one in the picture. I paid for the rug and now Overstock wants to charge me TWICE what the rug costs for a shipping label to return it. The rug they sent is HORRIBLE. It looks like a third grader made it. It looks NOTHING like the pictures online of the item. I had to beg for a free shipping label to return it even though it looks nothing like the one advertised. Now, it's rolling around the trunk of my car until I can make time on my lunch hour to take it to the UPS store. This was a terrible customer experience.

Messy choice for dining room

Dining area is the busiest part of an open floor plan, so I wanted a sturdy rug that could handle wear and tear. Not the best choice. The weave is thick so particles trapped in between will not come out during vacuuming-not even with a commercial shop-vac. The fiber is shedding in the tiniest pieces so there's a straw-like dust that gets caught in my rubber grip rub pad. Both the pad and rug (which is heavy) need to be rolled up so the floor underneath can be cleaned of the debris at least once a week.

Definately recommend

I purchased three of these and they are absolutely perfect for my use. Living in Florida, I have tile floors and use these on either side of my bed with another along the vanity in the master bath. Size (7') is true -- no variation. Rather nice "large" weave ... better than I expected. Definitely would recommend.

Nice quality rug

I was looking for a rug for my kitchen, and needed a the rare 5' square rug. Came across this and ordered it. The photo isn't accurate, because the rug that came to my house has tassels on two sides, but I really like it. Not super soft, but not uncomfortable on bare feet. Pretty sure nothing will be able to stain it. All in all, a good option!
