Quite what I expected

I ordered the unfinished wood at a discount. Assembly took about 1 hour. It turned into a project I wasn’t expecting. I added leg protectors and painting a few coats of sealing paint to prevent rot. Had I opted for the painted/finished product, it would’ve cost the same. Overall it looks great on my deck.

Hard to beat the price and convenience

This is actually the 3rd of these I've purchased. You absolutely cannot beat the price for a really durable planter that has held up for years for me. Having said that, this one was the most beat up I've received. There were some obviously glued repair points and I had a small split at one corner. Nothing a quick glue and clamp couldn't fix, and honestly still an amazing value.

Problem with Raised Garden Bed, Elevated Wood Garden Planter Stand

I purchased two of these in spring of 2020, assembled them, and filled them with loam. We got two seasons of vegetables from them, but by the middle of 2021 they started to come apart. The problem is a poor design, given the thickness of the Cedar wood used. They use a mortise and tenon design to attach the walls. The wood is a soft cedar, and the tenons are short and thin. There's now way that this design, with this grade of wood, was going to hold up.

Best garden bed I've purchased.

This garden bed was easy to put together and the quality is there. I bought a similar product which cost more from a different company and this one hands down is way better. Im 5'6" and it comes right to below my hip area, so the height is perfect to not have to slouch over. The width is good enough to get a couple rows of flowers in it.

Sturdy, Good Size, Good Price

After looking for a sturdy, good sized elevated garden bed at a decent price, I decided on this product. I ordered four. They arrived nicely packed with no issues or damage. They were easy to put together and look nice. I decided to stain them before use to protect them from the elements. I used a stain specifically for use in garden beds. I also elevated the feet slightly by using a plastic furniture cap to minimize water exposure to the legs. The beds hold a good amount of soil and plants. They drain well and I like that the liner was included. I am happy with this purchase and look forward to several seasons of use.

Still waiting to hear back from bcp about a problem I had

I ordered 5 of these elevated wood garden beds. My husband and I got the first one put together quickly with no problems, the second with a little harder time getting things to line up. By the third we realized a few of the wood pieces were warped and that was why we were having trouble lining the pieces up to screw together. So we took un warped pieces from other boxes and got four out of five put together. I sent an email to bcp with a request to replace the pieces that were warped so I can put the fifth one together. I got an email back that someone was working on addressing my request. I have heard nothing since. It’s been over a week now so I am more than disappointed. The other disappointment is that some of the outer panels are so rough and were not properly sanded so they catch and scratch you when you lean against it. Otherwise, they are good for the price, I’m glad they have drainage holes and came with a liner. Certainly nice not having to bend over to do my vegetable gardening.

Terrible quality control on this product.

This is a beautiful wooden raised planter box, but unfortunately, it suffers from terrible quality control. I am a 79-year-old senior who was always reasonably handy. I even installed a whole kitchen by myself, so I wasn't deterred when I received a box full of wood, with only some screws and some directions. Unfortunately, after putting 3/4's of this product together, I discovered that the holes put in the four legs to hold the bottom shelf were all drilled in the wrong places. I notified the company and was told I could return the item for a full refund. Since the product was 3/4's together and the box had been thrown out, I chose to get a 30% discount instead. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, I then discovered that every leg that was supposed to hold the pieces on the bottom shelf were drilled in the wrong places. None of the wooden pieces fit into the holes in the bottom shelving pieces. Since the legs holding the shelving pieces had already been predrilled, I did my best to still attach all of the 14 slates only to find out that in doing so the pieces holding the slates split and cracked. Finally, in an effort to prevent the splitting and cracking of the long pieces holding the slates in the bottom shelf, I predrilled the holes required to attach the slates. It took forever to put this item together because the quality control for this item was VERY POOR. I am very disappointed, and I think that the company should give me a much better discount on this item. This item could be beautiful, but the manufacturer should do a much better job on quality control. All the wood pieces should be carefully inspected to make sure they are drilled in the right places, are the right size to fit the needed places, and that pre-drilled holes are in the right spaces. Who knows how this unit will stand up to New England weather?
