Beautiful curtains- challenging to get undamaged

I love these curtains. The challenge is that the elastic that holds the curtains in the packaging is old and leaves a yellow stain on the curtains. I had to return 4 times to get two sets that are not damaged. I did not attempt to wash the curtains, so I am not sure if the yellow stains would come out in the wash.
