Overall, I think that this daybed is great! My biggest draws to this daybed were that I could put it together by myself, each piece could be carried to a second floor bedroom easily, that it came in one box, and it can fold out to a queen bed. I also liked the midcentury modern style of the piece. So, the daybed arrived super quick to my surprise and was shipped safely. The putting together of the daybed was highly intuitive and fast, and the company does provide clear instructions via handouts and also a video online. Let me preface this next statement by saying that I am very sensitive to fabric textures and furniture softness so please keep this in mind. For me, the foam "mattresses" feel firm with a little give and the boucle fabric feels semi-soft but not plush. Would I have liked a bit softer foam - yes. Would I have liked a super soft fabric - yes. But that is just my preference, and the firm foam mattresses and semi-soft boucle fabric are just fine. I feel like the firmer foam and the boucle fabric will be more durable and stand up to usage over time, especially with my pets. Plus, when I have guests I can always put a mattress topper on it to increase comfort levels. No big deal, but maybe on future versions Jaxx could soften both the foam mattress and the fabric a bit? Also, it would be nice to have options to purchase additional pillows - like ones we could place against a wall if we are sitting? Just thoughts... Overall though, it is a good daybed and I am satisfied with my purchase.
