Love this rug makes the home arcade room perfect

We've had this carpet for about 2 weeks now (it's going to be a Christmas present). While the colors are very vibrant, the material is very thin and the backing is very stiff, almost as though it was manufactured a few years ago and the backing has hardened over time. We'll see how it holds up going forward. Additionally, it came wrapped in a protective plastic, which was good, but it had not been rolled up evenly so on either end of the carpet the material was rumpled, and it's taken almost 8 days with cinder blocks placed on top of the rumpled areas to get them almost flattened. Hopefully over the next few weeks or so that issue will go away. We did not order a pad to put under the carpet, but we suspect that once it's given as a present and is in place in its new home, a pad under it will become necessary to make it comfortable for sitting and standing on it. As an aside, the ordering and shipping/delivery all went smoothly. Given the quality of this particular item vs. its cost, I'm not sure I would make another purchase on Wayfair.
