Smaller and not as well made as before

I got three of these 3 years ago and the 2 new ones I just got have been downgraded in every way possible from the overall size, weight of the base, quality of the components, size of the shade, the turn on switch which used to be on the top, and even the screws aren't covered. And they cost more now. Disappointed....

Lamp is just OK for price. Came with one mounting screw for light socket completely out of screw hole, just rolling around in package. Also I suffer from neuropathy which makes fingers very sensitive to touch. For that reason I stopped using light switches (on/off). Instead I simply unscrew the bulb a bit to turn off and reverse to turn on. THIS socket however has loose threads or something as if it is corroded and needs lubrication. So it is even difficult for me to turn on and off, annoying. Almost returned it

Great affordable desk lamp

Just what I needed. Working at my desk perfect lighting. Then at night remove from base, take to my bed room, install in clamped base , get in bed and read my John Grisham Novels.

Not a good choice.

Better off targeting the larger and better lighting. The base of this lamp is only good for a paperweight. Keep searching!

Not as Described

The description says this is a 5 W light and shows a light covered by a white plastic filter. The specs say the recommended bulb shape is A15. That is not what was delivered. It came with an 8 W A19 bulb. The A19 is too big for this lamp and hangs below the shade by about an inch. If you have the lamp pointing down at your work area, you will have that bright white spot blinding you. No bueno! The box even says it is a 5 W lamp, and the pictures on the box are the same as the web pictures. But the product in the box is different!

Piece of junk DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!

Do not be fooled by the cheap price! It is a piece of junk. Probably the worst parts of the lamp are the mounts. The lamp assembly does not even fit into the standing mount, leaving only the clamp mount. The clamp mount is also terrible because when moving the lamp side to side, the top of the clamp mount also moves side to side. That leaves you with no way to mount the lamp. The quality of all the components of the lamp is low and you can tell they were really cheaply made. The joints on the lamp assembly are also extremely stiff, making it hard to adjust the lamp. The lightbulb that comes with the lamp is also not great. While it is an LED bulb, it does not even have a plastic ring around the base like most LED bulbs, making it look like an incandescent bulb. The lightbulb also gives off very little light. The only thing about this lamp that is okay is the appearance. It looks just how I expected it to look, with nothing to praise but also nothing to criticize. Overall, this lamp is not worth your money. It is a piece of junk and you should spend your money on another lamp. You will thank yourself.

Excellent product! Sturdy. Dims as well. To dim after turning on lamp, press and hold to dim. Repeat to undim. Good size. I may order another one. Bulb is included. To insert in stand.. push evenly downward hard. It fits.

Nice light duty desk lamp

Somewhat flimsy. but if not moved around too much will last quite a while. You should hold the unit when adjusting. Lighting is alright. I may put a larger bulb in when I get a chance to check it out. I would recommend it to friends because of low price and let them know faults.

Additionally, comes with bracket for mounting on edge of desk or table that you might use. Base is strong enough not to tip over and function of frame to move is quality.

I wanted to add a lamp to my L-shaped main computer desk and hutch combo and this architect lamp fit the bill perfectly. I have the ability to move it around on the desk for different placements and also the adjustable features designed into the light itself which make it perfect to get extra light when and where I need it. This is so much better than the old stationary light this replaced. I love the design, and functionality, and could not be happier. This is a well made and pretty decent quality lamp.

This is a great lamp! Modern yet it blends with any décor, very sleek and minimal. The LED bulb is surprisingly bright, yet the beam is focused so that it lights one small area instead of an entire room, perfect over my laptop for working at night. As an added plus, the bulb/lamp does not get hot at all. The base is heavy so the lamp will not tip if bumped. Also comes with a clamp for installing on the edge of a desk or table when there is limited surface/work space. Easily bends to focus the light exactly where you need it. This lamp is great! It is so versatile, and easy to lift up, down, left, right, or any other direction that you need. The base is weighted, making it quite sturdy. The only time I felt that it was slightly unbalanced was when I extended it as far forward as it could go, which is not a very practical condition. This light covers a much larger area than my old light, and is easy on my eyes even in a dark room.
