Good oven for the cost. Works well and it gets hot. I do like the turntable. The only item that could be better is that there is only one burner. You have to really keep a eye on the flame and drop it down. Then keep on rotating the pizza. The burner should be back another 1-2 inches as it is too close to the pizza. This makes it easy to burn if you are not careful.

Broke first time out of the box

Well, the oven it well made from what I can tell. It gets very hot quickly, feels solid. I didn’t think the thing that turns the pizza would break on the first pizza. Other than that it I would recommend it but that shouldn’t happen so quickly. For the clearance price I’d say worth it, regular price not so much.

Could be good but it’s not

It’s fairly solidly built but the flame control has a barely perceptible movement between off and fires of hell.

Poor design & customer service

Don’t waste your money! Product & customer service are very substandard. Legs collapse causing a very unsafe situation. My stone broke due to this. Been waiting for 6 months for replacement parts. Nexgrill was of no help. Ended up going back to home depot for assistance for resolving issue. Do your homework buy something of better quality at a lesser price.

leg design /replacement parts

During use legs were found not to lock into place causing for a disastrous situation. Pizza oven cart was bumped causing the 2 front legs collapse back to folding position causing hot pizza & stones to be tossed onto the ground. Thus, causing the outer stones to break. It seems Nexgrill has a very limited stock on replacement parts as I have been waiting for months status pertaining making my oven useless for this summer. Manufacturing should look into this design flaw as a simple locking mechanism can avoid this potential safety hazard.

Useless. The burner is too close to the pizza. Pizza catches on fire even in the lowest setting. Never cooked the middle of the pizza before the top was overdone. Sat by the oven and continuously rotated the pizza with the turntable knob but still would catch on fire. Do not buy.

Conflicted

I won this pizza oven but on its initial use, the manual knob didn’t turn the round table inside. Luckily I can still turn the table by pushing it around with a utensil from the outside. We are still able to cook pizzas on it but if I had purchased it myself, I would have returned it. The manufacturer wouldn’t stand by their product because I’m not the initial purchaser and have no receipt. At least I didn’t pay for it.

Works Great

Nice grill and good value compared to others. Liked the convenience of rotation. Made my first 3 pizzas today and was pretty impressed. Left it on high for the first pizza and it cooked in about 90 seconds with the top done but the bottom was softer than I like. Cooked the next 2 on low heat after the oven was brought to temp, worked perfect.

Was looking for a Pizza Oven for the past year, but didn’t want to pull the trigger on a 300-400+ oven. Luckily I was able to snatch this oven for $99. Love the turning table, although sometimes it gets stuck. I am still getting comfortable with the heat and the distance from the pizza and the fire, you have to put it on low or else the pizza catches on fire. But, I was able to make some really good looking pizzas and the guests were extremely happy. Since I had prior experience with pizza having worked in a pizzaria in Germany, I made the fresh dough and controlling the fire and pizza was easier, but I could see how someone with no experience would have issues with this oven and burn a few pizzas. One of the things that I would change would be to make it taller, the crust gets very dark very fast because the ceiling of the oven is to closw to the pizza. Overall is a great oven with great potential, for $99 is a no-brainer.

Great Oven

I was able to get this oven for $99 at our local Homedepot, for that price is a NO BRAINER. The oven comes very well packaged and basically minimal assembly, took me 5 minutes total. When using the first time I was too excited and put the pizza in too quickly and the bottom did not cook properly as it was not brown enough, nevertheless my wife enjoy because the top was really good. It took me a couple of tries to get the right temperature and to share my exciting new toy, I scheduled a pizza party with two other couples. They seemed to really enjoyed the pizzas and were all impressed with how the pizzas came out, since I was still getting the hang of it, some charring was to be expected.

Great pizza oven

We’ve just finished the fourth batch of pizzas. Same issues but getting better each time. I took the stones out to see if I could improve the rotation of the wheel. The issue seems to be the mechanism from the knob to the centre of the oven. The stone turns fine when pushed with a small peel or bbq fork.

Do not buy!!!

This pizza oven looks nice and is built nice but the rotating stone idea sucks. My stone never gets hot enough to cook the dough. By the time the dough is cooked everything else is charcoal on top. There are gaps in the stone to allow for the rotation mechanism and a hole in the bottom of the housing. This sucks in air and cools off the stone so your dough will always be doughy. We have to cook the dough plain before putting toppings on they put the pizza back in to finish it. Buy something else.

Great idea but needs improvement

Love the idea of gas and smoker mix. But still needs improvement. Unfortunately first one had to return it due to spinning system stoped working once it got hot. Got a second one to give it a try. They both take forever to light up not sure what the issues is gas comes out and spark is there but it lights up for a sec and it shuts off. At like the ten time of trying it lights up. Once it’s get hot the spinner knob gets hard to be able to turn the pizza. Have to stick something inside the oven to spin it the 12in floor with. Smoker should of been on back corner not on top of the pizza that way ashes doesn’t fall on top of pizza. Relocating the smoker to a rear location might allow for the smoke to travel loner inside instead of the smoke leaving right away fue to the flame waves from the gas. The diameter of the smoker can is way too tight of a fit on both unit I had to spin the can in until it went in, it doesn’t just drop in. I would hold of on buying this until they take some more times to make it better. I’m surprised that wasn’t done before putting it on the market. Unless both units I got are defective.

[Rewarded Review] Simple To Operate, but Doesn't Wow Us

I was excited to order the Nexgrill Ora Cast Aluminum Pizza Oven and unpack it once it arrived. Assembly is easy; unpack, unfold legs, put in pizza stones, knobs and hook-up to the propane tank. It took 10 mins tops to have ready to go. Started to preheat the stone. We pulled a pizzas out of the freezer and let it thaw, while pulling another fresh pizza out of the fridge to try out.

[Rewarded Review] Fun little oven with a learning curve

The pizza oven was packaged tightly in its box. Not much assembly required, just putting on the knobs and inserting the pizza stone inside the unit. There is also a metal container on top for wood chips or pellets if you want wood-fired taste. I folded down the three legs and hooked it up to the propane tank and was ready to fire it up...but following the directions didn't help. The igniter knob wouldn't light the fire. The manual says to shut it off for 5 minutes and try again. I did that 3 times with no luck. I really didn't want to, but I used a handheld lighter stick and reached inside. It was the only way to get it to light.

[Rewarded Review] Will take time to learn how to use.

New to an outdoor ( propane) pizza oven and the fact that the flame only comes from one end, creates a definite learning curve. It has two knobs one for starting and adjusting the flame, which took about 7 tries to get it to fire up the first time, and a knob to rotate the turntable that the 12" stone rests on, an imperative feature. The manual does not give any real aid, except to say "That once per-heated put on medium" Also, and only after researching online, did I find out you can't just put a frozen pizza in. You need to thaw it out for an hour. I would also mark the 12" stone at least the 12-3-6 and 9 positions so you can tell how far you have rotated it during the cooking process. I have got to believe even a "From Scratch Made Pizza" will have the same issues. As you can see in pic-4 I put this over an insulated mat on a vinyl card table, but the bottom never got hot. I will continue to research techniques and have some thoughts of my own, at least I can eat my experiments. I used the typical 20 Lb. propane cylinder. Good luck and have patience. If you are really into pizza and cooking outdoors, then I could recommend this, if not, and you just want a frozen pizza once in a while I would re-think my priorities.

[Rewarded Review] No need for a turning peel

The Nexgrill Ora 12 inch Propane Pizza Oven gets the job done. The oven was easy to set up just unpack unfold the legs install the pizza stones and it’s ready to cook. The first thing I found was that my standard peel was way to big, there are proper sized peels at HD. The oven was easily hooked up and I had it heating in no time. It took the oven under 4 minutes to heat to 475 degrees on top of the rotating pizza stone. I put my thawed store-bought cheese pizza on at 500 which I thought was fine for the stone but I needed to turn the heat way down but I didn’t so I got a pizza cooked on top and not on the bottom, my fault. It will take some practice to get it right, in the mean time I need to get a smaller peel which will make the whole experience more pleasurable. The Nexgrill Pizza Oven heats up fast and cooks evenly with the ability to turn the heating surface, pretty novel. The oven also comes with a smoker chamber to add the full wood fired flavor to your food. The oven has a heavy duty aluminum shell that heats fast and holds heat.

[Rewarded Review] Portable and well designed

We have been contemplating getting a pizza oven for our deck this year. Some of the options we saw were too big or just cheaply made. When I saw this Nexgrill model I decided to go ahead and get one.
