I have two Maglites. One two cell and the other three cell. These bulbs bring my old standbys into the present and I had debating this purchase. Easy and good upgrade.

The purpose is to upgrade existing flashlights that use halogen or incandescent bulbs.

Met my expectations. My flashlight works great now! The bulb is excellent. It was a quick and easy pick up from the store. I definitely recommend this as a replacement bulb for a filament bulb.

Good choice for upgrade of some older flashlights

Fits and works in older dual D cell (3 volt) flashlights that aren't threaded or bayonet. Produces a relatively bright light compared to some of the other LED options.

This inexpensive upgrade will super-enhance the brightness of your flashlight. I purchased the first one several years ago for a Mag-light and it is still going strong. I purchased this one for a cheap two-battery flashlight just to see if it would work. It did, and what a difference in lumens. I can light my whole backyard and see things I never could before.

At first I thought the bulb was missing a glass globe, but figured out that a globe is not needed with LED. So, I put it in my flashlight and viola!! A sharp bright light that is twice as powerful as a regular bulb, which by the way doesn't appear to be made or sold any more. The price is a bit steep but worth it, and it will continue to go down with time and increased production.

Great LED replacement bulb

Bulb was an exact replacement for the original incandescent one. I don't believe it is any lighter or heavier than original so that category makes no sense to me and as far as its durability we'll see since I have only had it a little over a week but based on past Nite Ize products I have purchased I would expect it to be very durable. I plan on replacing the incandescent bulbs i the rest of my flashlights with these not that I have tested this one.

Restored old flashlight into something useful

I bought this lightbulb many moons ago (years). I once had a 90 degree angled army flashlight and used this lightbulb in it and it put out a lot of light. The switch on that light got messed up, so I found an old Sportsman Ray-O-Vac all metal body flashlight at an estate sale and the difference between the incandescent bulb and the LED bulb is like night and day. So, if you have any type of flashlight that uses incandescent bulbs and it's a C or D cell battery flashlight, keep it, and buy one of these bulbs. You'll save a bunch of money, especially if you're a consumer who just needs a working flashlight as a backup and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a newer modern day flashlight. These are for you.

I bought this about a month ago to upgrade my flashlight from the dull orange light it had. Big difference. It’s not a tiny orange beam anymore, it’s a bright white light that covers more area. It’s like the cone grew. 75 lumens is not much for flashlights that size but definitely a difference. Chose this bulb over the 55 lumen for that reason: I was trying to get as much brightness as possible so I chose to pay the extra dollars.

Great way to modernize the incandescent lamp and improve efficiency of energy consumption. I’m sure my flashlight last longer now and most likely never need another lamp replacement. Great purchase and I would recommend anyone to upgrade their Mag flashlights to these LED replacements.

Useful upgrade only when upgrading from an incandescent flashlight bulb.

Not a strong LED light device. I had an older Maglite with an incandescent bulb and this LED replacement was not as bright as I thought it would be. This upgrade was a disappointment unless you are upgrading from an incandescent bulb. I have an actual Maglite LED flashlight and it is super bright when compared to this LED bulb replacement.

It worked very well in my (2) D cell Maglite. As easy as installing a new bulb. If you are unsure how to replace the bulb, there are dozens of videos on YouTube, review them first. MUCH brighter than the incandescent bulb. A very pricey bulb, was worth it to me...maybe not to you...everyone can decide for themselves as to the cost/benefit.

Wow!

I had an old MagLite two D-cell flashlight in my blizzard box. It was due for a new set of batteries and while I was at it I decided to upgrade the old bulb to a new LED. What a huge difference! With this bulb and a new set of batteries this thing is at least 4x brighter than before. And, I understand, uses less juice so the batteries will last longer. I recommend this to everyone with an old incandescent Maglite.

A new lease on light ...

I installed this in my VERY old 6-cell MagLite. I've had it for probably close to 20 years. I still keep it in my truck even though it was all but useless as a flashlight. My single-AAA LED light which I EDC clipped in my pocket is FAR brighter than the old MagLite ever was. I installed this LED upgrade when the batteries were very weak ... the incandescent bulb would just glow ... and it lit up nice and bright. With some new batteries, I'm sure it will run for a long time. Now my ridiculously-sized flashlight is a viable tool again ... if anyone should ask. :)
