[Rewarded Review] Color altered from photo and past rugs

I have had the 5x8 version of this rug for many years and the colors are true to the photos, the turquoise and coral are almost pastel. Lovely sherbet colors and mid century/contemporary pattern. Only issue is cats really like to scratch it and therefore it needs a lot of vacuuming and the wool pile is no longer as even. I recently bought a bigger version and the colors weren’t the same, dye lots were brighter and darker so it’s more garish and didn’t match my furniture. First photo is smaller old rug, second is the unrolled (it will lie flat with time) new rug I returned

I love the look of the carpet, but I do question whether it is truly hand-tufted. The back is covered so you cannot see the back. And like others say, it sheds an entire canister full of wool every week. And the fibers have begun to pill a bit. I only keep it because I love the colors and design. It looks amazing when maintained. But it takes quite a bit of maintenance. I don’t think a handmade carpet would shed like this so I suspect false advertising. Appreciate that it is 100% wool though. Because shedding like that, my house would be full of microplastic, so I’m not as freaked out about the shedding.

Beautiful colors, thick, and soft

I totally regret not reading the reviews before purchasing this rug. The unbearable shedding makes this rug a bad choice for a home with pets, children, or adults who dislike vacuuming. It is beautiful though.

Right size, great print and pile.

This rug looked amazing when we unrolled it and first put it down, but within 48 hours it began to shed terribly. Vacuuming doesn't really help either because with every vacuum, more and more of the tuft comes up. Now there are patches where it's uneven looking because it's lost so much heft in certain spots (most noticeable at the corner of the rug which is no longer straight but curved). I called Wayfair and was told my only options were a 20% refund ($100) or to return the rug myself in exchange for another with no guarantee it wouldn't havre the same problem. So I guess I'm out a few hundred bucks and will just have to keep it until it's in such bad shape I have to throw it out. Not ideal. Very disappointed.

I love the rug. The reason for the 4 and not 5 is it has a strange odor. I know it is a wool rug, but I have purchased many wool rugs before and not had this. So hoping it will go away.

I like it a lot. The white is a creamy color. As someone else says, it looks like black paint brush strokes in photo but looks more like cow spots at home.

This rug is perfect for the space. It definitely sheds (wool, amirite) but luckily mine isn't in a high-traffic area. I think the pile is perfect.

This is one of my favorite rugs I’ve gotten from Wayfair. I am very pleased with it. It’s so soft and very thick. The dots on it are bigger than it looks in the picture, but it’s perfect for the room!
