Dont waste your time with the smaller size. Wish I had gotten both in this very perfect size. Super easy to open to refill! Smooth mechanisms. Beauty and Function personified.

Never Received

I'm so glad you asked. I ordered several of the on Black Friday for Christmas gifts. I got a notification saying they arrive.....but they didn't. I tried numerous times to contact Food52 and only got emails in return saying they would get back to me. Finally, I got an email from Jeciel saying how did you like my response???? Never resolved. Finally disputed the charge with my credit card company. Although I love the products on Food52, the customer service is terrible!

Attractive - nice Grind

I bought two- one for salt one for pepper. I am enjoying using them and did I say they are attractive. I like the warmth of wood.

Best grinder

Incredible grinder! I’m using it for salt and totally loving it. The best grinder I’ve ever had, and a beautiful elegant design. Sits out 24/7.

Wrong item sent

Food 52 shows pictures of the grinders and stipulates they are interchangeable between salt and pepper. But if you already own a pepper grinder and ordered a salt grinder you surely don’t want a P on the new one. Confusing for the cook. That’s what I got. Quality is good though. Just not happy with having to correct this order.

Good looking but awkward to fill

I bought this because I wanted something statelier to adorn my kitchen counter next to the cooking area. It is a good looking little guy for sure but it is a bit awkward to fill (from the bottom and working around a little spring) and it does not hold many peppercorns, thus making for frequent refills.

Crushing it

I don't buy a lot of things for my kitchen — I'm always trying to find things at thrift stores, get nice Tupperware from Marshalls, and just generally avoid spending money in this area. But after getting a cheapo plastic pepper mill that became unusable after two months (and having a friend comment on said pepper mill) I decided to get this. As someone that loves pepper it was so worth it. I'll probably have this till the day I die.

Misleading Name

While the grinder is beautiful and works well, I'm knocking off 2 stars because the name is misleading. It's not a set, and therefore should be named "Crushgrind Stockholm Salt OR Pepper Grinder". No where in the description does it say that this is one singular item and that it's not sold as a set.

This is the best pepper grinder I've ever used. Grinds so smoothly, and the design is simple and beautiful. If I had one complaint, it would be that even at the larger 7" size, it doesn't a ton of peppercorns. But even that isn't a big deal. Love it!

Love!!

This grinder pair is my biggest crush. Get it. Love the aesthetic. And they grind both salt and pepper like a dream. I cannot speak highly enough of them! One of my happiest purchases ever.

Very nice grinder

I needed a small salt grinder to go with an existing pepper grinder both for the table and the kitchen. I wanted one with a good grinding mechanism and preferably in wood. This one is perfect. And the form factor and design are great.

Love the grinders

These salt and pepper grinders are perfect for my pink Himalayan salt and my whole 5 pepper bled. They are so easy to fill and work great. Everything I have ordered from Food 52 has exceeded my expectations. The oak wood is very attractive. They are nicer than my kitchen cupboards

Perfect!

I did a crazy amount of research before I bought this grinder set. I previously had a Peugeot pepper mill, and was never impressed with it. It didn't hold that much pepper; the flakes were too fine for my liking; and the mechanism ultimately got rusty and caked. I've only had this set for a few weeks, but love that the size of grind can be adjusted. I also love the crush/grind effect, and think it's genius that the mechanism is ceramic.

i got the shorter 3 inch version. it seems nice... but the included instructions don't make it clear how to remove the top portion in order to load it with peppercorns. you can load it by removing the bottom portion of the grinder, but you have to make sure not to get the peppercorns stuck in the little coil spring running around the center post, and there's not a lot of clearance to pour the peppercorns in.
