Perfect for food photography

Gorgeous deep plate, probably one of my favorites in the collection! I can plate my meals like at a Michelin star restaurant now, and post pics because this plate is truly wonderful and stunning for food photos. I don’t really use it as a pasta plate as I don’t often eat pasta, unless it’s like hearts of palm noodles, or veg spirals, so I typically use this plate for a cut of meat with sauce, or when I’m plating a protein with something like a parsnip purée. Excellent size, looks gorgeous, I also like the large rim as it’s easy to hold if I’m just having dinner on the sofa by myself.

Broken plates

The packing was so poor 4/6 plates were broken. Have to wait for refund. By then the sale was over.

Very pretty!

Very pretty! It’s hard to wash them. Maybe if they were coated with something shiny, like regular plates, it was much better.

Happy pasta eating

I have been looking for these pasta bowls ever since my first trip to Italy 2022. I am so very happy to have found them online . So happy and can’t wait to use them .

Unique. One if a kind. Not for everyone. It’s for those with discriminating taste and an eye for art. Great looking. Has a real vibe. Used in many ways. Live it.,

Texture is questionable

Hmm not sure how I feel about these. Love the design but the texture feels unfinished meaning they feel like ceramic without glaze. Debating on getting them glazed bc i love the design so much or sending back.

Perfect Pasta Bowl

The perfect pasta bowl. I bought both white & black. Just the right portion size....small enough to stay warm....with a large elegant rim.

These are very attractive dishes with a very nice sized space for food portions. I ordered four to try out but when shipped two shattered tremendously. Made me hesitant to purchase any more, so never did. At the time of purchase, Mayfair had a better price than buying them direct from Villeroy and Boch, however, the shipping method was not appropriate for the delicate nature of the product.

Understated Elegance

My niece put these white Villeroy & Boch Rock Pasta Plates on her wishlist so her mom and I purchased them for her on her birthday. She loves them. One of the shipments was received broken and we were pleased that Bloomingdale’s customer service handled the replacement quickly and professionally. We highly recommend these beauties.

Love these. It's really hard to find pasta bowls with exact right size center "bowl" part and appropriate rim size. These are nicely sized and the Villeroy and Boch quality is great!

I fell in love with these bowls as soon as I saw them. I didn’t order immediately and I kept thinking about them for presentation of meals I make. So I went ahead I ordered them. Wow! They exceeded my expectations in feel and look. The rim is nice and wide for keeping bread, limes or other items. As you can see from picture I was able to place the spoon and dinner fork on the rim without them sliding. The rim surface is pretty flat. I was able to fit over 1 cup of rice into the bowl with room for the avocados and tomatoes. The depth is perfect for liquids. I intend to use these often. I was not aware of the brand until now and see why the reviews are so positive. They are dishwasher safe and so different in style. Love them! Going to order there plates now!

Absolutely stunning piece of crockery. The plates are used in a proffesional environment and stand up to daily use and multiple sessions in the dishwasher. Could not recommend highly enough.

If you are like me this Villeroy Boch vessel plate bowl is a must have , this modern design has the perfect features with the matte finish and wide edge . The size is great for a first course or even dessert giving it flexibility in when to use it in your dining experience. It comes in black and it is offered in white as well. The package came perfectly wrapped to insure the plates arrived undamaged and you can not beat the price. Once I opened them I was incredibly pleased with this item. You will not be disappointed. I love them!

Chic and edgy

I ate at an Italian restaurant recently and my pasta was served on a plate that also had a bowl in it. And that did it for me! I was on a hunt to find a similar plate/bowl online, and I stumbled on this brand. Not sure about the durability as I have not (and don't intend to) drop the plate. I've been using the plates now daily, yes, daily... on almost anything I eat. I've had it with pasta and even rice with teriyaki chicken. Other pluses: when I handwash them, they don't slip as easily because of the ridges; when I heat in the microwave, only the middle part gets hot so I can handle/hold onto the sides and it's cool; and lastly, my spilled food still has an extra space to land on the sides.

These pasta bowls are gorgeous!!! We also use them for soup. The texture is interesting and the black color really sets off food. My nephew saw them and commented that they were the same bowls used in a very high end asian restaurant on Maui where he was an intern :) The price is fabulous! We bought 4 bowls 2 years ago and just ordered 2 more. Dishwasher safe too!

Awesome Pasta Plate

Just such a great shape, classy, the material is fantastic. I don't like all the shapes from the Manufacture series..but this one is a keeper. The bowl in the middle allows plenty of food - but does serve as portion control on top.

Such a Steal!

First & foremost, let's take a moment to appreciate the look & feel of this beauty :) Neither too heavy nor light, these ones can hold a lot of food on the plate! For a foodie like me, it is a bonus. The material quality is solid & pretty classy!

OMG these are the neatest plates/bowls. They do look like rocks. They are strong and sturdy and beautiful. And I can't believe the day after I bought these I was watching Top Chef on TV and they used this dish... how cool is that!

Awesome pasta plate

I have been looking for pasta plates looking like that for many years. I have failed a few times ordering ones online but this plates satisfy what I was looking for!

Great and fancy

I bought this last week and it looks more beautiful then I expected. I can’t wait to use this for the dinner party with my husband in this coronavirus crisis. It is little heavy and looks fancy. I recommend this item.
