Horrible quality

Beautiful pattern but horrible quality paper, extremely challenging to work with. I’ve done many wallpapering projects and this paper is rigid, almost construction paper type material so shows every crease, can not be smoothed once in place. I tried it despite the other negative reviews and am sorry I did. Additionally I received several defective rolls where there was bubbling one the adhesive side making the pattern side wrinkled before even starting the project. Would not recommend.

This wallpaper is stunning visually. It was very difficult to line-up the print so that it flowed well. Before applying the wall paper, I cleaned the wall prior to application. I used simple green and wiped well and let dry. I then purchased a drywall spatula to help with the application. It took a while but I did it! Then a week later, the wall paper started peeling off by itself. I was able to stick it back on and use the spatula again but I’m worried how long it will last! I spent a lot of money on this and am a bit disappointed if it lasts less than a month! I was expecting to be on for several years ( I’m attaching photos of the spatula, my wall texture, the finished product and some of the paper unsticking

Bad Wallpaper

I love this wallpaper, bought 5 rolls total and it will not stay up . My walls were prepped and I am so disappointed. Found on Amazon but went with magnolia home for quality. I have had to go around and glue the seams … very disappointed and I am NOT removing since there has been glued applied at done spots . You can’t tell from pictures but big air pockets are forming as well by the areas lifting up. I thought I had to pick a star … this product is 0 form me … and I’ve put up a ton of wallpaper before . I actually think I should get a refund

Great quality, pretty easy install

I’ve used this brand before for another project and like the peel and stick. This one was a little trickier just because of the pattern to make sure it lined up correctly. Had some trouble with install but that was mainly due to how the house settled, not the actual paper. It’s easy to pull up to realign if needed. I paired it with Behr equestrian green paint.

Wish it would stick!

We used this in our nursery, along with a muted sage green board and batten, and the pattern is beautiful. That being said… it won’t stick to the wall! After a few months, there are giant air bubbles everywhere and all the seams are curling up. My husband carefully installed it and he’s about as handy as they come. We love the print but can’t risk a large sheet falling off the wall and into our baby’s crib overnight, so it’s coming down.

The pattern is as it looks - very pretty. I have done a lot of wallpapering using all methods: peel and stick, pre-pasted, and unpasted. This peel and stick went up well, but it’s starting to get air bubbles after a few days. I haven’t experienced this before. I will probably remove it and apply some paste to the wall and hang it again. Also, this is a small roll, so be sure to measure carefully.

I thought this paper was so beautiful and had to have it. I also thought that because it was a Joanna Gaines product, that it would be the best. Well, I was wrong. I have installed wallpaper many many times and never had a problem. At first the paper went on just fine and looked amazing. After about 5 days, it was falling down on one side of the wall. So instead of taking down & return, I bought wallpaper adhesive and kept it up. No problem. Then a few days after that, the other wall fell down here and there. I was not happy. I did the same thing as before and added adhesive to it. Our walls are smooth and there is no reason it should not have stayed. The paper itself is gorgeous and just the right thickness. I spent $350 for all the paper and I wanted a refund, but, the room looks so nice. So take heed, the glue on back is not sufficient. I would not buy again.

This is just the loveliest pattern! I've received so many compliments since it was installed. It's really transformed the room. It was a little tricky at first to line up the wallpaper just right, but after some time I started to get the hang of it, and the second half of the install went much quicker than the first half. This is great quality, thick wallpaper. Our wall is lightly textured and the wallpaper has stuck fairly well to it. The texturing is not visible through the wallpaper due to the great quality. But I do need to press it back down to the wall every once and awhile as air pockets form underneath.

The olive version of this wallpaper is beautiful. The paper is thick and it easily concealed nail holes that I filled with spackle a few days prior to installation. It was easier to hang and reposition on the wall when I lightly spritzed some windex before applying each section- before I did that I had issues with the paper wrinkling.

Not able to use the whole roll

Really lovely pattern, and I love how it looks on the part of my wall I was able to complete. I had ordered just enough (with an allowance for waste to match up the pattern as we went along) to wallpaper one wall. The amount of waste necessary to match up the pattern is WAY more than I expected and have seen in the past with other patterned wallpapers. Still, we ended up with just barely enough to finish our project but the last 2 feet or so of the wallpaper was totally unusable. It was wrinkled beyond smoothing out (looked like when you ball up a piece of paper and try to unfold it again). I was going to just suck it up and order more but it seems Target isn't even selling it anymore so now my whole wall needs to be redone if I can't find this wallpaper elsewhere. Really frustrating considering the price of this wallpaper.

Do Not Use In Bathrooms

We got this peel and stick wallpaper for our bathroom. Big mistake. Every time we take a shower or a bath the wallpaper starts to wrinkle and come off the wall. We’re going to have to rip it all down. Such a waste of time and money.

The quality of Joanna Gaines' wallpaper is excellent and as expected! The wallpaper is easy to hang because the paper is thick and is easy to lay flat against the wall. I used someone to help me line up the pattern before taking the sticky backing off. I personally recommend the Peel-and-Stick types of wallpaper over the pre-pasted wallpaper, which is messier and doesn't stick as well. This peel-and-stick wallpaper is very forgiving and is easy to apply without leaving any wrinkles. I used an old credit card to apply the wallpaper. One trouble I had was that the leaf pattern did not line up exactly to the wallpaper next to it. However, it is not very noticeable from a few feet away, and I would still chose this one again. This design is bold, but gives the room a cool pattern.

Difficult, but worth it

So, let me start out by saying the finished project is everything I had hoped for and more. However, to get to that point was quite difficult. Now we do have slightly textured walls and the product is not recommended for that. But after reading some reviews we decided to try it anyways. So we spent 4 hours start to stop. We laid out one sheet and measured the length of the wall, top/bottom, leaving about 3 inches extra space. Then we measured out the second strip and lined up the pattern. I don't know if it was the height of our walls or the pattern in the roll, but to line the pattern up perfectly we had to waste about 1.5 feet of wallpaper per each roll. This was kind of a bummer but it is what it is. Putting it on the wall was slightly difficult, we were surprised because it seemed like such a simple concept. One we got each strip started, it got easier. We used a smoother and pressed firmly onto the wall. We also used an extremely sharp box cutter to score the top and bottom so it was perfectly even with the ceiling and baseboards. Honestly, that was the easiest part! We put 7 sheets up, working around outlets and thermostats and an archway. By the end of the four hours we both agreed it looked perfect, but it was too much work. Adding insult to injury (ha) two days later, we woke up and a piece had started falling from the top down. We agreed we had done way too much work to just rip it down and toss it so we purchased some wallpaper glue. The next night, bodies still sore, we half way rolled the paper down from the top and applied the glue, and rolled/smoothed it back up. Looking back we should've just done this from the beginning. Even if your walls were perfectly flat or even freshly sanded the adhesive isn't sticky enough. It reminded us of stickers we give to our children that are super easily transferable. If you do this, use glue. The end result is absolutely stunning and we are so happy with the way our wall turned out. The paper is definitely permanent so hopefully this doesn't go out of style any time soon!

Gorgeous, but DOES NOT STICK

ABSOLUTELY do not purchase. There were no directions that came with it, so I watched countless YouTube Videos (all of which had different techniques, so you had to figure which you thought would work the best). The pattern is gorgeous and I loved it on my dining room accent wall. It made me smile every time I walked by....for the first 3 days. And then it started...bubbling, then separating at the seams. Everyday I would smooth it back out and say a little prayer that it would stick. Today, the top is peeling back from the ceiling and most likely about to fall-it’s a losing battle. The wall was prepared according to all the suggestions I’d found online (it was just painted a month ago, gave paint time to cure, smooth finish and wiped down for any dust/allowed to dry.). I spent $200 on 4 rolls 3 of which I can now not return because they’ve been used-so sad! The 4th roll we’d had to order additionally because I didn’t factor in the 24” drop in the pattern, so we burned through a lot of material to match them up with each run, so ran out on last row. That was my bad, but at least I can return it since this all happened in less than a week! Gorgeous.....so wish it had worked! Expected more from the Joanna Gaines brand. *sigh*

As expected being a Magnolia Homes product the wall paper is of very good quality and has a nice pattern. It is sturdy and can be cleaned with a damp sponge. It is also made in the USA. But try as much I could it is hard to hang large pieces of on the wall because the paper backing does not comes off completely and tends to stick in places. Where this happens bubbles form on the paper. That is why I haven’t covered entire walls. I used some earlier patterns as wall accents or shelf and drawer liners. I am using this as a backsplash on the wall behind my pet feeding area. Pets tend to be sloppy eaters and this wallpaper will save my wall from getting food residue that I can sponge off from the “backsplash.” Since many people are using this to line shelves it would help if like shelf liners the paper has measurement markings on the back.

With the first sheet, some care has been taken when installing it, especially if on a high wall. Once the backing paper has been pulled away from the wallpaper about a foot from the top and I had positioned it on the wall, I would now let the whole sheet fall away. That way I can see easily if it is in a straight line that follows the spirit level mark. Regardless of other ways people to it, I prefer using the edge of the palm of my hand to wean out any air bubbles using a 45 angle from the top and downwards. Any wrinkles, then stop, pull the paper up to that point. I personally only pull the backing down by using both hands about 2 feet at a time. The second and subsequent sheets I followed the same procedure with an excellent success rate. The wallpaper is thick enough and does not tear easily. In fact, I never found any issues at all with tearing. The pattern is vibrant and easily sticks to the surface and if required, use both hands either side of the paper to pull it up and again is quite easy. But be aware that if not careful and you allow the wallpaper to fold in on itself, thus sticking to each other, it will take much patience to unravel them. On the one roll, I completed 3 strips 72 inches high. An excellent finish with an excellent wallpaper.

I had painted this old curio cabinet white a while back. I was not pleased with how the paint did on the inside (it was supposed to be a paint that was primer and paint all in one) I’ve been watching for a peel and stick wallpaper that would look good inside covering the bad paint job. When I saw this Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Magnolia Home Olive Branch peel and stick wallpaper in Olive Grove color, I knew that it was what I wanted to use. It has sprigs of olive branches in a whimsical pattern that is light and airy. There is a 24” pattern repeat so allow for a lot of waste. That wasn’t so important for this project because I could not use a whole width.

I was hesitant to start with this project because I did not know what to expect. I read all the instructions and understood the steps that were laid out for hanging this paper. By the way, I've done both pasted and pre-pasted wallpaper projects before so I've had plenty of experience hanging paper but did not know what to expect with this new way. Well to my surprise the preparation and tools are very similar so I did not have to invest in the tools. Read and follow the instructions. I started in the corner of the wall and placed my straight line so that it would be square. one difference that I found that unlike paste, this does not slide so if you start in the top left corner and peel down slowly and a little at a time it will make your job easy. I was surprised that once I started the job flowed really fast and unlike pre-pasted paper there is no clean up which saves you time. Work slow and make sure to remove the bubbles as you move down the paper. Cutting the excess is easy but make sure you use a sharp razor and a good straight edge for a clean finish. It is a great accent to your wall and I would recommend this paper if you have never hung paper before.

High Quality and Stylish Wall Covering. This is my 2nd project using Magnolia Home Peel and Stick Wallpaper. I am really loving this wallpaper! Amazingly Easy to hang!! After working with this paper, I won't want to go back to the messy old pasted wallpaper. No mess to clean up and no special tools required. Just scissors, disposable blade cutter and a clean white dish towel. Cut 1st paper strip to length, line up pattern match and cut the 2nd paper strip to length. Hang the 1st strip (level, to prevent wrinkling) by peeling backing from top 1/3 down and hang level using a clean dishtowel to smooth and adhere to wall. Peel backing down another 1/3 and smooth and finish peeling off backing and smooth down. Use disposable blade trimmer to cut top and bottom edges. Now you are ready to hang the next paper strip careful to match the pattern at the edges. I really like this paper!

This self-stick wallpaper is easy to apply. I got this for covering a section of shelving in my long hallway closet. I like the design, with it's subtle olive branch pattern. The colors fit in well with a variety of color schemes, because they are neutral. Botanical prints also are not particularly dated and stand the test of time well.
