Nice duvet set- mismatched pillow cover sizes

linen is nice, but it came with two different pillow cover sizes that I could not use. A bit confused on this one. Otherwise- the duvet cover is decent and seems to be wearing well

I know this is intended to be a duvet, but I left it as is to use as a lightweight layer under my top quilt. Great quality. Just as described. I love it!

I absolutely love my Brooklyn Linen duvet and pillowcases! I washed them three times and dried them once as soon as I got them. That softens them. Only use a mild detergent all natural and dry on extra low. You have to dry for quite a while and periodically open it to clean the lint out since they're brand new. I would highly recommend

beautiful color and texture, flawed construction

This set is a beautiful color, a rich olive that is more pine than brown, if that makes sense. It is pretty thin, and came with some flaws. One seam isn't sewn thoroughly, and one of the closure buttons is in the wrong place. I am very happy with it but will have to do some work to have it fully usable. It is a little large for our queen size duvet - about 9" too long, but the perfect width.

Great set

I love this set! We have been using it a few weeks now, and I have washed it twice. The quality seems great, and it fits my king size duvet true to scale. Ties on all four corners inside the duvet cover keep the duvet in place night after night. The material is breathable, soft, and sturdy. The buttons at the bottom tuck into the flap nicely, and the pillow cases fit my king size pillows better than any other cases that I have owned. I LOVE that they open in the middle and not the end. Color is holding up and exactly what I expected. Overall, I am very please with this purchase.

Soft with rich color!

This set was really a perfect fit all the way around for our guest room! The color is rich and NO FADE!! It is also very soft and sumptuous! I would highly recommend for any room of your home! PRO TIP: ALWAYS WASH linens before using!! Dry on LOW & pull from dryer IMMEDIATELY! Ensure no bends in fabric, lay out & let sit for a few before putting on your bed! This way, you get a more rough hewn vs starchy look!!

Gorgeous Flax Linen Duvet Set - Recommended

Beautiful, high quality flax linen duvet cover and matching pillow cases. We purchased the green king sized set. The color is a very rich, deep green; the photo I am posting doesn't do the fabric justice. Of course we have not laundered it yet but hopefully the color will remain vibrant after washing. We would recommend this set.

Great linen duvet set!

I purchased the full/queen size in Navy. It reminds me of a soft denim. Yes it is wrinkly and rumpled out of the dryer but that is part of linen's characteristic charm. If you iron it, the fabric becomes even softer and more beautiful but you have to remember that linen is known for wrinkling. I bought this to go into our camper and I love it so much I am considering a king set for my bedroom. The picture I've included shows the duvet straight out of the dryer and was taken in natural lighting without flash. I am a huge linen fan and wish linen was more widely available for sheets and towels. Thank you Overstock!!!

Good quality but stays very wrinkled.

The quality of the piece is good. The color is as shown online, a nice neutral flax color. However, even for linen this is EXTREMELY wrinkly looking. I put mine in the dryer with a wet washcloth to try to steam the wrinkles out. Obviously the wrinkles were from being folded up, but they were difficult to get out without ironing or steaming with a steamer. Overall, still a beautiful base piece of bedding.

Quality with a great price!

Love this flax linen King size set. I purchased for my second home that is shared with family and friends. I purchased this solely for the neutral color and the ability to wash as much as I need to wash it. It has held up both in workmanship and color. It was an excellent choice for my application. Also, It appears to be the quality of my Annie Selke but less than half the price.

So rough and itchy!!!

The was so itchy. I washed it once, on cold like the instruction said. But it is painfully itchy. Like sleeping under a blanket of hay or weeds- the tiny fibers poke and scratch at my skin. I plan on washing it at least 2 more times before I give up, but I’m not hopeful. For the price it should be at least tolerable on the first use and THEN get softer over time. But for it to be this ROUGH after already 1 wash, it feels like an uphill battle for the price. I’m pretty sad since SO many people RAVE about linen and for the price I assumed this would be “high quality.” So either it’s not, or people are comparing their linen sheets to sandpaper.

I have to be honest. It’s not easy to find a comforter to fit this duvet. I had to look at specific comforters until I FINALLY found one that “fit the dimensions” of the duvet. I put “” because the duvet is just really big. On top of that, it only has ties in the orders on the inside to secure the comforter in place. I wish it had some on the sides as well to better secure the comforter inside the duvet. Also it’s lighter than the picture. But honestly for the price.....uh. Go to a fabric store and make your own duvet if you can.

Worth buying, but watch the buttons on the bottom

I love 100% linen comforters and covers because I found they just get softer and softer with use and washing. Now, when I first pulled them out of the package they smelled a bit odd which is to be expected, most sheets packed away in plastic for several months tend to do that. I threw the set in the wash and then the dryer and they came out EVEN softer. I took a star off because I have found the buttons on the bottom to be a little loose already after two weeks of use. I also didn't like how much came off in my lint trap after only 20 minutes of dry time. The colors are exactly as pictured and very vibrant as well.

Beautiful color, creates a lot of lint.

The first time I washed this duvet, it left behind so much lint in the dryer that I had to clean the lint trap three times. It is a fire hazard, so don't leave it on its own. Other than that safety concern, the color is beautiful and it brings an earthy vibe to my bedroom. I really love the softness of linen and if you're opposed to the crinkly nature, just use a steamer or a quick, warm ironing will mellow out the wrinkles.

I like this duvet set and you can't beat the price which included a set of matching shams. I washed it before putting one our bed. It washed well, did not shrink and feels soft. I think linen feels cooler in warm weather than Cotten and this set pairs well with my bamboo sheets. It was significantly bigger than my insert. After measuring, I apparently was sent a king size duvet instead of a queen which would explain the size discrepancy. Given the choice to return or sew to fit my current duvet insert, I decided to upgrade to a larger insert

I love this duvet set. Good quality, better price. I wanted to go with a brighter color, but I'm loving the Blush. It's more of a French ballet pink and goes very well with yellow tones in greys and beiges. You know, the color of rentals. Wash it twice and it's soft. Better quality than the set I bought from a place that rhymes with destination Bardware and about a third of the price. Great purchase. I'm so happy every time I walk into my room. I use a king size duvet for my queen sized bed. I like generous coverage. I added some thin ribbon on the inside corners to keep the duvet in place. It needs it. It took me 5 minutes and I am NOT a sewing kind of person.

STAY AWAY

I washed this set ONE TIME right when I received it, on a gentle cycle nonetheless, and there is a HUGE tear in the hem at the top. I have a huge washer with no agitator and the duvet cover and pillow cases were the only things in it! Absolutely RIDICULOUS that it would come out torn! This price isn't THAT discounted for linen for it to be tearing like it does. The sewing on the buttons is loose. And the entirety of the stitching is horrible. I am so beyond upset! Linen bedding should be something that is constructed to survive generations! This is absolutely not even close to that quality. DO NOT BUY.

This is a lovely light weight soft linen. We like the deep coral color with our dark floors and predominately blue artwork. I washed duvet on cold to preserve the color and ran it through a hot dryer to remove the lint and shrink it to fit my 90"x106 comforter better. I then ran it through a cold rinse and spin in my washing machine and hung it to dry. It looked like it had been hand pressed. I used clothes pins to fasten one end to the top of my curtains and draped the other end over two chair back to dry. Easy Peasy.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful color

I got this duvet set a couple months ago. I have been using it on a pretty consistent basis since. At first, the material wasn't as soft as I would have liked it. After a couple washes the material did get softer. It is super comfy and light weight. The color is fantastic, not too bright and not too gloomy. I really like this duvet. If you want a duvet that has a bit of texture to it, this is definitely your set.

Found it! Soft, oversized, wonderful weave, it moves like a dress cut on the bias, and with just the right heft. It does not weigh down my precious down comforter within. I have always had an all white bed, but I got the pink because of a lovely image evoked by a buyer who reviewed here. Thank you, fellow purchaser for your effort, it helped me decide and I am so very pleased with it. Overstock has become my favorite homeware store (I get absolutely nothing for making this statement except the satisfaction of relaying my genuine experience) and the place I have gone for fantastic bamboo shades, pillows, pillowcases, and this beautiful and elegant duvet cover that I love! Everything arrives precisely as promised and packed with care. I appreciate some items need much less packaging and I am so glad Overstock does not use more than is necessary. I spoke only once to a rep and they were courteous, clear, helpful. Every contact at every level has been a pleasant and satisfying experience. In contrast, I bought and returned a linen and cotton duvet cover from that was much more expensive, way too heavy, with closures that did not span the entire product. I appreciate Overstock for delivering quality and value at a much better price, and in a thoroughly professional manner, all the more when I do my (intended and unintended) research. Thank you!
