Caused major problems to my door.

I had so much hope for this device. We have a set of french doors that go out to our back yard and I decided that I would like to prop them open to let in the cool air from the outside in however, we get wind that closes the doors. \n\nThe wedge looked like the answer. I used the second method of wedging the door by placing it over the hinge. First, it looked like it was working but as the wind would move the door back and forth I noticed the hinge screws were coming out and then something really bad happened I noticed the door would not close anymore because the screws came loose and the hinge pin had bent causing the door to be miss-aligned. Now I may have to call a contractor come and realign our doors. Very disappointed in this product. In addition the product has a picture of 2 wedges and I only received one.

Primarily we use these on self closing doors. Helps to wedge that door open and vents the building, its heavy duty and wont give under pressure. It works tremendously. I would recommend everyone in the fire service to carry one.

Provided a much needed area of convenience

This product works exactly the way it is supposed to. I needed a device to keep a spring loaded door open. I used a variety of items in the house to keep the door open..Then I saw a similar item being used at a Las Vegas Hotel by staff. I immediately looked for and found this product. I am very happy with this item.
