Great price for weighty, weather-hardy chairs

Great buy! Gorgeous color (turquoise), out in full sun on the dock for 2+ mos in the heat of the NC summer and no noticeable fading or wear. Easy to assemble, folding action is a bit stiff (bur better that than floppy), stainless pins on each side hold well and slide easily. Weighty chairs, which is a plus so they don't blow away, but not super portable. Only (slight) negative is that they flex more than the non-folding version purchased elsewhere. Not a big deal, but worth a note for bigger/heavier sitters.

Adirondack chair

The chair was very easy to assemble. All the parts and bolts lined up perfectly. No pieces were missing. Took less time to assemble than anticipated. Very sturdy well made chair for the money. It will replace a flimsy plastic Adirondack chair purchased at a big box store only three years ago that broke. It’s at a beach house and only really gets used on the weekends in the summer.

4 stars so far. I’ll revisit after some time of use but this review is mostly about packaging, assembly and quality so far. These chairs were well-packaged (no damage during shipping) and somewhat pre-assembled. To be fair, I’m an engineer and a DIY girl, so I feel like this is an advantage when it comes to assembly. The first chair took about 30 minutes once I had everything out. The tools and bolts worked well. No issues. The second chair (thankfully I didn’t open this one first) took about 15 minutes after everything was unpacked, but the nuts seemed too small for the wrench. Since I had two chairs and two sets of tools, I tried both, but same issue, so definitely a slight size difference of the nuts. Otherwise, everything went together fine. All holes were the correct size and no other tools were needed. I was cautious with unpacking due to other reviews suggesting the need to return in original packaging, and I was cautious about assembly since some reviews suggested power tools were necessary. I had none of those issues. In fact, my 6 year old put the 6 bolts in that didn’t require washers and nuts. Super easy. The directions do have some grammatical typos but the important info is there and clear (which parts to use for each step, etc). The pieces were labeled with letter stickers which was good. Some were missing but easy enough to decipher. I did reference the assembled BBB photos on the app, just to confirm. There are a few places where the machine cuts left some scrap plastic but these aren’t sharp and cleaned up easily. The folding aspect is really quite neat. Hence the bolts and washers at the places where it bends. The chains do get in the way during folding and opening, but I don’t see that being much of a problem. I don’t plan to fold them often. They are a bit snug when folding and it took two tries the first time I unfolded them to get the back in the right position, but I got the knack of it quickly and everything moves as it should. The pins seem snug too, and time will tell if these will hold. Just be cautious with kids since there are moving parts. I love the color. The pacific blue works well and complements my pool nicely. Having that pop of color on the patio is nice. My sister has the Amish chairs that don’t fold and were 3x the price, and are really nice. These chairs are lighter than those. The seat on these is also higher and the backrest has fewer vertical pieces (these are wider so there aren’t as many), and the backrest isn’t as high as the Amish chairs. However, none of these aspects bother me. At this price point with what I received, I’m happy. I’m hopeful the color does not bleed (as some other reviews mention). There is very slight coloring inconsistency but hardly noticeable at all. Again, I’ll update the review if needed. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with the product: packaging, assembly, quality, and color.

Great looking and super comfy

Absolutely love these. Bought two after reading reviews and couldn’t be happier. Love the color and quality. I’m not super handy but these were so simple to put together. Better to have two people but the first one only took me 35 minutes to put together and the 2nd one less time. The instructions are foolproof and two simple tools included. I think these were a great deal. Fairly priced and very sturdy. No sharp edges, no color issues like someone else mentioned. I have a feeling that was a different manufacturer/product because these are awesome. And they fold up for winter! We loved them so much we’re buying a few more. We got the sand color, although due to the photo it looks slightly grey. Great buy

so we are having some trouble with these - arrived june 7th, put together immediately. total of 12 in 4 orders. and seemed ok. but now the area where the pin goes in to lock the chair out has become increasingly loose. the joint now rotates about 3/4" on some chairs and has gotten worse with people using them. the result of this is that the front feet don't sit level on the ground, because the screw/pin combo above is not firmly keeping the two pieces from moving. it is happening on all 12 chairs on 2 orders. i'd like to talk to the company that made them but overstock just says to send them back. but we have no boxes! thinking of driving my own much larger bolts through them all. do like them otherwise. would love to hear from company.....

Orange color not even CLOSE

Not even close to the orange that is pictured. Like seriously so far off I thought they sent me the wrong color at first but then searched for an “apricot” or “squash”— but alas, this is their orange. Prior review photos of orange chairs are not accurate, the manufacturer must have changed their orange at some point because old review photos show a bright orange. This is more like if you ordered wood tone and were like “this is an orangey wood tone”— since I only ordered from overstock to get the bright orange I’m giving it 2 stars. $* to return them if I wanted. I’ve only assembled one so far and the front plate holes did not line up so we had to just make-do with the bolts not going in all the way. I didn’t realize that you can’t return items for free unless there is a manufacturer defect and having the color be WILDLY off from the photos is not considered a manufacturer defect. In fact, overstock chooses your verbiage for you with “color not quite right.” What an understatement. I’ll never stray from **** again.
