The summary at the HD website stated this was WOOD. It was not, it was BAMBOO. The word BAMBOO was even stamped on the outside of the box. I have purchased the bamboo dry rack from HD before and they don't stand up to daily use. Customer Service kindly issued me a full refund.

Save money and dry the economical way.

This is my second rack and I love that my towels are a little stiffer for a nice dry-down. Mainly, this ample wooden rack saves me lots of money that I don't waste on my inefficient electric apartment dryer.

Best rack I have found

This is nice. Nice construction and nicely finished. I think the dowels are 5/8"? They're medium size, not skinny. I previously got an expensive 12-lb. wooden rack off another site and literally threw my back out setting it up and am still dealing with that. This one sets up much easier. I also got one of the 3-lb. ones from here and it was OK but the frame was about as strong as a kite frame (wasn't going to last) and that one was stapled together. This is a good compromise, thick enough for strength but not so heavy that you have to fight it. Mortise and tenon construction and no staples. This is the only one I've found where the feet are angled so they don't scrape your floor. I just ordered another one.

This steady, sturdy clothes rack is just what I needed! I've put a set of king-sized sheets on it, by draping over and under! And the rack folds so compactly, it fits beside my washer in its closet easily. I live in a condo, so space utilization is key. Great product.

Sturdier than the one I bought 5 years ago. Maybe this one will hold up better since my cat likes to use it as a cat tree. lol

Great for large items

I really like the oversized rods. I can hang lots of large items like towels on them. I also like the locking "arms" on it so that when I pick up the rack to move it to another place, it doesn't collapse.

I love the rack. It is super easy to set up straight out of the box. I like the fact that it is bamboo, and it's not going to rust like metal, and I do not like plastic either, so bamboo is the perfect echo friendly choice. It looks really pretty, and it is large enough to hang a full hamper of clothes on it. Very satisfied.

Nice drying rack

I like the design of the rack and that it expands giving the option to put more clothes on it to dry. You cannot put too much heavy items such as towels on it to dry at one time. That's the only thing I would say that's a con.

I would very highly recommend! My old clothes dryer completely fell apart and was never very sturdy. This dryer rack is very sturdy and I LOVE it!

Nice but awkward

this dryer is well constructed but very difficult to use. The mechanism to hold the unit upright is very awkward to use.

Perfect! My dryer stopped working,parts were on back order and I purchased the rack.Did the drying as needed and full loads as well. Set up was easy. I like so much ,my dryer is now fixed and I am still using my rack for most of my drying needs!

Buy it, when you aren't using it, fold it up.

It is expandable. It actually expands more than I expected. There is a removable bit on top for flat drying and many tiers for clothes to hang and dry. It also folds up really small.

I bought this clothes drying rack to replace the exact same one, which I have had for many, many years. The white coating on the bars was starting to flake off and creating a mess on my laundry room floor. I will recycle it to our RV where we will use it to dry towels outside. I love the size of these racks compared to others I have seen. The only thing I have noticed about my new one is one or two of the bars are slightly warped (thus, the "good" rating) but as it doesn't affect drying clothes, it doesn't bother me. I can only hope this new one will last as long as the old one.
