Very Nice Side Table

My son put my table together in about 30 minutes. It's a sturdy piece of furniture. I got the red table because I have red and white checked chairs. Looks very nice, just what I wanted. For my son, the assembly was easy, he does that kind of work. I think I could have done it but would have taken me a lot longer! It was packed very well and all the parts were there, plus instruction booklet. I would recommend this table to anyone looking for a smaller end table.

Don't waste your Money

WoW! Sooooo disappointed in this table!! Thought it was **** made, from Overstock, BUT it's another piece of Cheap **** From ****! Holes wouldn't line up, & cylinder nuts were all stripping. Had to force bolts into them which cracked the wood!! Took me HOURS of fighting with this garbage to finally get it together. (And I am very well versed with putting together furniture!) After all that, it's quite small, more like an end table for kids. I would think that Overstock would check out these products before backing them, but I guess not. The pieces don't even match! The top is simulated wood grain while the rest is just black 'paint'. Top does not match the rest in color either, it's garbage!

Nice table; darker than expected

I ordered this end table as I needed just a little more space to put things in my office, as I'm now working from home. The room has dark brown wood, so I ordered the Espresso. When I first took it out of the box, I thought they had accidentally sent me the Black color. I kept looking through my e-receipt and the manual, but nope, this is the Espresso. So, know that it is REALLY dark. I wouldn't have purchased it had I seen it in person (I don't think the pic online conveys it accurately). I'm not going to use it in the office as I originally intended, as it is too much of a mismatch. I will find another room for it as there's no way I'm taking it apart and returning it. So, regarding assembly, I have put together a lot of furniture over the years, and this one I would rate as slightly difficult, only since the holes for the cam locks didn't quite match up and they didn't tighten as much as they usually do. I was able to manipulate it enough and the end result was fine and seems sturdy. Overall I'm happy with the design of the table; it's pretty and doesn't look cheap. I'm attaching 2 pics so that you can see it in regular lighting, as well as next to another piece of furniture that is brown for comparison.

Shelves are cardboard

Everything was going great until time to put the sides onto the supports with the bolts and nuts. They take a thread just fine when you screw them together, but when you install them, the nuts are virtually impossible to get to line up and take a thread clean. Then had to smack out the nuts to get them to come out and the shelf blew apart revealing that it is made of cardboard. Dense cardboard, but cardboard nonetheless. Not melamine - not MDF. Cardboard. Now I have to make a middle shelf and use either dowels or wood screws to hold into place.

Just as described; looks good

I decided to take a risk and buy the sea foam color for my bedroom. If it was a bit darker with some teal, I think it would be more trendy for my living room. Putting it together was kinda fun, and everything lined up and looks good. I don't put the stickers over the silver bolts because I think the silver adds more style with this color. I use it as a nightstand with the open side facing my bed and the criss-cross facing outward. It adds some contrast and style to a basic bedroom, and it's functional with a middle shelf that I can fairly easily access instead of just having a bottom shelf in some other models. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, especially at Overstock's price!

Perfect size and match for the console table

Great grey color for my wife's "Diva Den" which is a combination craft room and sitting area. The footprint is perfect to fit on each side of her couch. They arrived packed very well and assembly was easy with all holes aligned. I would recommend using some wood glue for the wooden dowels to improve sturdiness and the key for all of this furniture is to not over-tighten the fasteners. I removed a star because colored dot decals are used to cover the side screw holes instead of painted wooden plugs which I expected. But that's me. It does not detract from the beauty of the piece. We also bought the matching console table and were not disappointed.

Missing pre drilled holes/packaging chemical smell

Overall, I really liked this table. I bought 2. Simple to put together, but 1 piece didn't have pre drilled holes to connect screw/bolt correctly. I have contacted OS 2x now but have not been contacted for replacement parts. I don't have tool to drill the holes. I have to go to my local hardware store and pay extra to have holes drilled. The only other odd complaint is that the packaging was very strong and toxic smelling - a chemical smell lingered in my house from just one open package. That was unsettling a bit.

Nice design, not so nice quality

Sturdy table when assembled. Paint is thin and two parts actually had small scratches through the blue pain that you could see the vivid white base color underneath; we simply placed that side against the wall but concerned top will be prone to chipping too. As others have noted, there are paper stickers included to cover the screw heads and the paper stickers were packed with the hardware and had folds and creases which made them even more obvious when installed. We love the size and design, just could have been a home run with wooden color coordinated dowels instead of the paper ones.

Wouldn’t recommend

The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars over 1 is because it really is a beautiful table. But it was the worst thing I’ve ever assembled, one of the screws were defective and wouldn’t fit into the cam lock. The holes were filled and stuck with chunks of saw dust which was nearly impossible to get out. The pieces do not fit flush together which caused to wood to severely crack and break off, one of the screws didn’t screw in all the way. The paper stickers to cover the screws look cheap and don’t even match the table. The table has a bad wobble as well. Bought two of these and they both have severe flaws. Super frustrated with this purchase.

I love these tables. Assembly could have been easier. I got to the last screw and bolt and could not get it in the right way. Kept thinking there was something wrong with how i was doing it. Finally took the screw and bolt and just tried to screw it together in my hands. Turns out the hole was not cut large enough. Piece of advice - before you begin to assemble screw all the screws into the bolts to make sure it is a defective piece and not you! The next one I put together I ended up with the same situation. So now both tables are lacking one screw out of six I believe. Does not seem to make a difference but could have been saved a lot of aggravation!
