Dissapointing

I got this container to store my flour and it perfectly holds a 5lb bag which I was happy about. What I’m not so happy about is the lid. It’s actually very easy to remove the lid when the button is pressed. At first I thought that maybe that’s just how it’s supposed to be but I purchased some non name brand containers from Amazon & got 3 containers for almost the same price as this one container. The amazon containers do not budge when trying to take the lid off if the button is pressed. I definitely would have returned this container had I not already used it. Overall I would definitely not purchase these containers again and would just go with a more affordable option.

Great Value

We had a big problem with pantry moth last October so now everything in my kitchen is in containers. I bought a variety of makes but these are by far the best. The square shape makes them easy to fit the space and the pop lid is great for easy use.

Love these handy Oxo Pop containers

Very good quality containers. Easy to open and the lid feels very secure. Stackable, which is very convenient. Super clear robust plastic. I have bought all these from Dunelm for my pantry and I love them. A little more expensive than other brands but worth every penny.

Great, easy to use container

I love these containers. I have arthritis and find opening other containers can be a struggle. These are so easy to use. Just pop the button on top. So simple. Not the cheapest you can buy but for me well worth it. I’ve bought cheaper ones in the past but they don’t last. I’ve had my other Oxo ones for years.

The design of these containers is beautifully made. It will suit any interior. The lid closes tightly and does not leak air. The price of this container is average. The material of this container is of high quality. Easy to clean.

Easily broken. Do not seem airtight

A visitor pulled off the top without pushing on button. (How was he to know?) Pulling off the top with the button down permanently "disabled" the button mechanism / airtight mechanism.

So many uses for the OXO pop containers.

Ive bought quite a few of the OXO pop storage containers. In my opinion they are the best. They keep contents like flour dry and fresh. So many uses for them. I need more.

Nice storage box

Bigger than I expected. Thanks God it still fits into my biggest cabinet. Keep my kid’s cereal sealed and tidy in the kitchen pantry. And, it’s easy to clean, too. The container can go into the dishwasher but the top has been washed by hand only.

Waste of Money

I purchased the version of this with the square "pop" in Sept 2023, it was perfect. This 'new' version with the round "pop" has a weaker seal - as usual the prices stays the same (or increases ludicrously) and the quality keeps getting worse! Save your money and see if you can find the version with the square "pop" on ebay or at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Useful but won't buy again

I have had Oxo containers before and they are far better quality than these. When you put lid on it is supposed to seal and not come off until you pop the closure up but when it is down it should be airtight.

I discovered this brand from "The Home Edit" which is a home organizing show. I fell in love with all of their containers as they are air tight, super durable for all contents and multiuse. I'm slowly starting to transition all of my dry goods (nuts, coffee beans, oatmeal, crackers, pasta, rice and etc) into these. Only con is that they are a bit pricey especially in Canada. However, if you can catch the bundle on sale at Costco (regular price $79.99) it's definitely worth it and be warned you will become addicted. This is a highly recommended brand/product.

These are great containers! I use the Oxo Pop containers to store dry food. They stacks up nicely, making it easier to organize in small spaces. I like putting dry snacks in them for my children. They're so easy to use that even my 3 year can grab food out of it and properly close it afterwards. If you don't have these, definitely consider trying them out. (For reference, a whole bag of pretzels can fit inside this 2.8 Qt container.)

Great 5-lb-flour pantry storage

EK offered a set of these recently, three 4.4 qt units with cleverly-lid-stored scoops, as a package deal. For years and years I've stored home-milled flours in some old carbonate cookie product jugs...and those jugs were losing their (relative) airtightness and clean-ability. So despite the...rather stiff...price tag, I went ahead and ordered the OXO POP pantry cannisters. And am glad I did. They fit beautifully in the pantry, they seal snugly, and they really do hold a full 5 lbs of flour. Since we mill whole grains, keeping them secure from air ensures maximum freshness and nutrition...though we do rotate flour probably more often than most people, plus mill only a week or two ahead. I was doubtful that the "pop button" top would really seal the lid firmly enough for securing it as I horse them in and out of the pantry (not an issue with the former jugs' screw tops)...but they do. Nifty design, and I hope they last as long as our previous (free) solution did...though in the meantime I can already tell they're doing a better job at keeping our whole grain flours fresh.

I have bought several of these OXO POP containers in different sizes to organise my larder during this lockdown period. I was so trusting that I washed them all out and filled them with my ingredients before testing the airtight seal.They are not cheap so I was appalled to discover that every single one of the large containers are not airtight in the slightest the lids can be lifted off with a delicate upwards push, total rubbish.I know that I can send them back to Amazon for a refund, but I was interested to know what the manufacturer had to say. I was asked by OXO Good Grips UK to upload photos and a video, which I did over 2 weeks ago and have since been ignored. After phoning twice more and still not receiving an acknowledgment from the technical team, I am assuming the manufacturer does not give a toss and will not be honouring its life time guarantee.I will be sending all of these back to Amazon for a refund and will buy truly airtight containers elsewhere for half the price.

Oxo Good Grips POP Container Square Small Medium

I bought the 1.6 litre container on the basis of the dimensions given so 10.8 cm square by 24.1 cm. However, the 10.8 cm refers to the size of the top of the lid. The sides of the container slope inwards and the external dimensions of the base are just under 9 cm. The actual depth of the useable space in the tub is approximately 20.5 cm. This means I cant use the container for what I had intended. However, its a POP box and Im sure Ill find a use for it somewhere Ive had some smaller POP boxes for years and theyre still going strong.There are a few differences between this container and the older ones I have. This one is fully dishwasher safe. On the old ones only the silicone seal was dishwasher safe. The older boxes had a ringstyle seal. This box has a has a cupshaped seal which covers all the internal plastics. Both boxes have a thick plastic layer which covers the silicone. The plastic on the newer box just pulls off with a downward motion. Dismantling the older boxes means rotating the plastic base.Both the boxes seem to be made of the same material they have the same recycling mark 7 in a triangle with Other written underneath and theyre both BPA free.Whilst comparing the old and new boxes I noticed some scratches on the base of one of the older boxes.

I already used one for one of my favourite ground coffee blends but needed a second 1 litre small square container for my other and equally loved coffee choice as well. These airtight containers are perfect for sealing all the goodness in. The only problem for some may be that those long handled metal scoops that people use dont really fit inside with the coffee too. My remedy was to obtain a couple of those stubby 7 gram scoops that you can acquire online. They are just as good for measuring out a quantity of ground coffee and will fit in one of the small square 1 litre containers easily. Im a big fan of Oxo button seal storage containers anyway but thoroughly recommend this particular size for keeping anyones beloved blend of coffee fresh.Eamonn

Excellent storage container

The 1L container provides excellent storage for your many of your kitchen supplies. The BPA free plastic container is strong and light and also has the added bonus of having an air tight lid seal. This is easy to activate by simply pressing down the button in the centre of the lid. I have been using the container for storing ground coffee up to now and found that it is good for this especially with the wide access.

Best storage container!

Excellent storage container. Really well made. When it arrived I took it to bits and washed it as instructed. It was so easy to put back together again. I'm currently using it to store raisins. With the airtight seal it keeps the raisins so fresh, no drying out, and I can store plenty in the 1litre tub. The push button is great and once down, you know the tub is airtight. I would definitely recommend and will be purchasing some different sizes for sure!
