Handy grater

Grater is stable even when placed on the plastic storage container. It’s easy to grate cheddar cheese and have it drop right into the storage box then snap on the lid and have some ready to use cheese for the next couple of days.

The cheese grater feels pretty sturdy so far after a few uses. The container is a nice touch for being able to measure out stuff as you go. The handle is easy to grab and feels comfortable enough. Good bang for your buck

I absolutely love this great invention. With other graters the grated food falls all over, including the floor. The attached cup catches everything and it can easily be added to the ingredients. And it doesn't slide!

Very nice

Works great and has a cute little plastic container at the bottom to catch the shavings. I just put this right in the fridge and have sliced vegetables for my sandwiches. Cleans well also.

Great Box Grater

It is so hard it find a box grater these days. I literally looked for a while and stumbled upon this one. I love it! Very sturdy and I like that it comes with the container that you can grate into and measure!

Good for price, could be better

This has been working well so far. It goes through the dishwasher well and I have no issues with it. The only weird thing is that the bottom bin that comes with it also has a top and when not in use I’m not sure where to keep the top. The storage container fits the bottom of the grater without the lid, so it’s just odd having to keep track of it. I wish the handle was slightly heavier to make grating easier without sliding around the counter. Adding rubber stoppers to the bottom of the container would have been helpful.

versatile and durable grater

Love this grater! The bottom "container" is so handy for grating cheese withut making a mess. It also doubles as a measuring cup. Sharp and durable, it's must-have in my kitchen. Great for gifts too!

Bad Lid

If you have purchased any other OXO kitchen products, you know they are high quality and an excellent choice for the value. I have their stainless steel pizza cutter and lasagna server, and I love them. The box grater handle fits comfortably in the hand, and offers three different shredding hole sizes with a slicer on the side. There are little silicon feet on the bottom of the grater which is perfect to keep it stable on the countertop, or to pair it up with the included measuring cup snugly. I have no qualms with the measuring cup itself; but the lid they give you feels about as thin and flimsy as a plastic straw, and seems like an afterthought to the rest of the predict. If OXO adopted a silicon lid for the measuring cup instead, it would be much more durable. They must have known the lid was of poor quality, because it isn't advertised on the box. I didn't even realize it came with a lid until I got home and removed the product from the packaging, where it fell out nearly in two pieces already broken. I'm not really upset by it, but it seems like a atrange decision by OXO as most of their products are of exceedingly high quality (at least in my opinion). Still a great grater - pun intended!

Makes fast work of shredding!

OXO did a great job designing this grater. The catch box fits snug and doesn’t let smaller pieces of food slip through.

Sharp and convenient grater

Sharp, compact grater with bonus measuring container. Freshly grated cheese tastes much better than pre-packaged. Fits in drawer for easy storage.

Good little grater

Smaller than my last grater but it’s wonderful and sharp after using a blunt one for too long. Hopefully it stays sharp. Not sure the container is much use with the grater itself.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new OXO box grater with the non-slip base and container for collecting grated food! After finally retiring my 40-year old, rusty box grater, I was beyond pleased with the design of this box grater (a bit more compact than my old one) and with its lidded container for the grated food. I've only grated cheese thus far, but look forward to further grating adventures. Highly recommend.

Awkward to use

Normally , I love Oxo but I don’t recommend this grater. The angle that you grate at is really shallow, and it makes whatever you’re grating get all over the place instead of directing it into the bottom/ opening.

I bought this as a gift, because I’ve owned this very grater for a few years. It’s sturdy and I love the “box”’that measures grated cheese for me. It even has a lid l,so I can prep cheese ahead of time and pop it in the fridge. OXO products are some of my favorite kitchen tools.

I have become a big fan of OXO kitchen gadgets of late. They are sturdy ,well designed and do not disappoint. The design of this product is great starting at the top with the handle and down to the bottom with the strong plastic housing for the shredded.

Although a little expensive for my taste. It really is awesome. It isn’t as big as some, but it isnt small either. It is just the perfect size. Plus the container it comes with, is a bonus! I love it

Exactly what and when I needed it ...

I do not shop often at Target, but my old box grater came apart and I needed a replacement. I wanted it to be stainless steel, dishwasher safe, well made and available since I needed it that evening or next morning. I did an online search and found this one AND that was in stock and reasonably priced at a nearby Target. That’s the whole story.
