These are sturdy, high quality place mats that protect the surface of the table well., they are hand washable.

At first the rectangle placemats looked cream under the kitchen lights.. When I took them close to a window I discovered they really were a beautiful cool oyster color. They have a beautiful simple design that will go with white or off white china with a design on the plates. They will also go with china with color. These mats are a quality product and I will certainly order more of them in a couple of months. You can bring out the beautiful cool oyster color with a bright light over the dining area. These mats are elegant and can be used with any kind of china. I highly recommend them.
