difficult to install curtains and netting

while the option to add curtains and netting is great, installing them is a hassle. the attachment points are awkwardly placed, making it difficult to hang them properly. it took a lot of effort to get everything in place.

Really like this Gazebo - the instructions were not very clear and had a difficult time putting it together ( pictures only ) so took longer that we thought and definitely took 2 persons-We enjoy the see through roof and certainly creates great shading - I would recommend this and would buy again .

We had to modify the legs to fit it above our back door, but once we had that figured, it looks great. Directions were not great, but we figured it out. Not for beginner builders.

Stylish and functional gazebo

Added this 10' X 10' gazebo to my backyard for shade from the hot sun. Well made with quality parts. The illustrated instruction manual was easy to follow despite lacking words for guidance. No special tools or equipment necessary depending on how you plan to anchor the structure. May need a drill bit for concrete or masonry if mounting to a paved patio floor. Recommend that two people erect the gazebo. I did it myself (72 year old man, 5' 6" and 160 lbs) and it took 27 1/2 hours including site preparation. I took my time and was not rushed. There were many times when I wish I had a helper and things would have gone much smoother and quicker. The parts are all numbered but the tiny labels came off several parts bags and I had to figure out what was what. Here are some suggestions:

not enough shade coverage

the gazebo provides some shade, but the sun still hits certain areas

Top plastic piece part #8331 was received broken and a bracket item #7674 was missing. Took 3 weeks to get missing piece and the plastic piece is still on back order for 6 more weeks - but I was originally told both pieces had been received from manufacturer by the warranty department at Poly-Tex. Could take up to 8-9 weeks to receive plastic piece as it takes Poly-Tex up to 10 days to ship after they have it. Hope this thing goes together when all the parts are here. - too bad I won't be to enjoy its shade until next summer.

I love the way this turned out! Looks wonderful! I'm enjoying coffee on the deck every morning. It provides just enough shade.

Well designed and built product. The polycarbonate panels seem flimsy but are supposedly durable once installed. When installing panels suggest using a 3/4" wood block into gutter to hold panels in place before attaching.

Solid product, easy to assemble. Lots of extra screw, bolts, etc. Just know that netting and curtains (sold separately) must be hanged and moved together, single slider only.

Nice overall, but had water coming through the roof top ventilation openings during a heavy rain, furniture got all wet

I assembled and installed this gazebo on a concrete patio in my backyard. It went together easily except for the vent mount which I couldn't find. I called and a replacement was quickly shipped for free. I live in the Florida Panhandle so I'm hopeful it will survive the local spring thunderstorms and occasional hurricanes. The sun can still be felt through the bronze panels on a hot sunny day. It seems very sturdy. For my application I needed to raise it one foot and a local fabricator made these aluminum leg extensions for me for $300. I've added electrical outlets and lights as you can see in my pics. I'm pretty jazzed.

Pretty easy assembly. The quality is definitely there. You can tell this will last for years to come. It looks very nice on our patio. Our neighbors have already complemented on it. The real test will be to see how it drains when it is raining. It does allow light in, but it is not significant. This is one of the things I was worried about reading other reviews. Debating on whether or not to get the curtains.

I am very happy with the Gazebo. It was harder to put up because we were doing it on a deck that was 10x10. Had to put the top on first before tilting it to put the legs on but we got it done.
