Timeless and stunning

Beautiful, clean lines. Gorgeous light. Allows for either iridescent or LED bulbs. We love it! Be sure to check the height before buying, though. It is not very tall.

Timeless modern design

Bought the lamp to have more atmosphere in the evening in our living room. With the right bulb, gives a great soft white light which really gives the room a great facelift.

I have been wanting to buy this lamp for about a year and now I got one. It's as beautiful as I expected (less sturdy than I thought though). I had to make a phone call about the payment issue, but I like the customer service from Lumens.

I ordered the Nelson Bubble floor lamp initially but changed it to the Panthella (thank you Hive for being cool about my change of mind) because I already have the Nelson cigar floor lamp, and while loving it, I wanted to give Verner Panton a place in my home. While some may be disappointed by the plastic dome and base, I am not. My wife even commented that the lamp exudes quality, which I agreed. It really becomes magical when one turns on the light. The soft diffuse light is just as beautiful as the Nelson bubble lamp (you can't go wrong with either IMO). Hard to believe the Panthella was conceived in 1971 for it looks thoroughly modern and truly more stunning in person than seen online, not to mention it compliments well with any Herman Miller/Carl Hansen furnishing in the home. The lamp was delivered in two huge boxes, --one for the top and the other for the base, --made bigger by the double boxing done by Louis Poulsen distribution center in Florida. I was very pleased with the care put into making sure the lamp is safely delivered to the end user.

Have had this lamp for over twenty years

I bought my first Panthella floor lamp in Denmark. I have since bought another one as my first one got destroyed in shipping from Denmark to America. The one I have is over 20 years old and I haven't had a problem with it ever. I also have the Panthella table lamp and the mini one as well. I love this lamp. It has classic Danish design and has withstood the test of time. I'm a little confused by the other review. The lamp has always had an acrylic dome at the top which gives plenty of light in a room but on the softer side. The stem is made of metal and the bottom is also of some kind of plastic/acrylic. The only thing that happens over time is that the bottom gets scratched some, especially if you have children that like to play with the on/off switch. However, no one notices it. I plan to buy another one for my bedroom as a reading floor lamp and possibly another mini for beside my bed. Unless, they have changed the design noticeably, this lamp will last for years if taken care of and will fit with any style furniture as it is plain but with style.
