product flawed - fire hazard

2011 Lenarr home outfitted with all these. Many of them have cracked 10 years later some causing arc’ing others just not working. Upon removal its total housing failure with cracked plastic. The whole thing just falls apart. This should probably be a lawsuit against Lenar or Legrand.

switches crack and yellow over time

MY house was built in 1999 with these switches and these switches crack in the back and they yellow over time. They are crap dont buy them. Buy leviton, had a switch swaped in 2003 and it still looks brand new.

[Rewarded Review] I wouldn't recommend to an enemy!

I've replaced 10 of these in my daughter's house (new to them) and they all cracked down the back. Terrible construction quality! Spend the extra $.60 and buy Leviton.

Junk

I am an electrician and have replaced several of these switches in homes less than five years old. For the life of me I don’t know how they received “UL” approval! They are junk! Cheaply made toggles that are thin and dont last. I replace with Leviton switches, which are far better quality. All you have to do is compare the width of the toggle and the body of the switch to be convinced. I’d never stake my reputation on these switches, but I’m happy to have the business of replacing them! BTW.... there was no option for NEVER PURCHASED!

29/30 Outlets catastrophically failed

Our new house was built with these swtiches for all our single pole switches (2011). After hearing popping and having lights stop working, i noticed slowly hut consistently these swtiches were cracking in the back, and the wires were pulling out. Correct gauge wire for the switch (my first thought...). I replaced every switch in my house as a result. Stay away.

[Rewarded Review] Good working switch but ...

As a switch it works as advertised if you use the screw connectors on the side. The quick wire connectors where you just peel back the wire insulation and stick the copper in, the hole seems to be too narrow for the gauge of wire in my house. I was unable to make the quick connection work so used the Screws.

NOT a 3-way!!!

This appears to NOT be a "3-way" switch. I downloaded the PDF for P&S switches....Item numbers starting with 660 are standard 1 way switches... Item numbers like 663 the 3 indicates 3-way...where 2 of the 3-way switches, one UP stairs and one Downstairs will control a light. Lowes has several switches described as "3-way" and they are NOT 2-way.

You get what you pay for

These are the bottom of the barrel quality items. We had a total rebuild after a house fire with the usual contractor issues. I was hoping that the electrical issues would be minimal but after being back in the house less than 12 months the switches have started going bad. If you do your own work or do not guarantee work you do for others they might do, other than that, buy something better.

BEST PURCHASE EVER

Works even better than the old switch (old one wouldn't pass current anymore), but this new one- WOW ! Up, and voila, it's on! When I'm tired of it being on- bang ! I flick it downward and it's off, just like that. Amazing!
