perfect solution! priceless

i have 10 adopted senior shelter dogs -- old, disabled "underdogs" not easily adopted. i recently replaced two who died from natural causes in January. one is a 13 yr old chihuahua/jack russell mix male whose owner had died and no one wanted him. he has cherry eye in both eyes and is deaf. in my decades of of adoptions Scooter is the first who prefers staying outdoors. all my dogs have always wanted to stay close to me and sleep and live inside. have no idea the cause of his preference but we live in Florida. i have provided him dog beds outside but have been unsuccessfyl in finding him a truly waterproof bed out of the wet and damp. this raised whicker bed is perfect because it is off the ground, waterproof ( not simply water resistent ) and has its own adjustible canopy shade made of same waterproof material as the fitted mattress -- can be removed for washing. it is roomy enough for a small 16-20 lb dog to stretch out. i am a 76 yr old senior woman who is completely alone rxcept for my rescues. i weigh less than 80 lbs and have little strength. but i was able to assemble the bed alone. the instructions were helpful and all parts were provided with 2 small tools. Scooter immediately got into it claiming it as "his.". a fantastic success. the bed is "unique" because it solves all of my issues keeping Scooter off the damp ground and away from rain and overhead sun. i could fing nothing searching the Internet with a better design at a price i was able to budget. i am so very grateful and Scooter has obviously previously unknown comfort away from the wet. the bed's design is easily maintainable -- just perfect for man and beast. quality and value backed by Walmart's great delivery and customer service. simply PRICELESS!!!
