Great buy

Replacement for a previous whole house filter I had owned was a pain to do and expensive to maintain. After replacing it with an American Plumber Model WVC34 whole house filter, it was snap to replace its filter cartridge. The replacement filter cartridges I now use, while fine, does a great job of preventing say shower heads from clogging up. The cartridge does have to be replace once every 3 months or so, but their cost is so low, it is of little concern. If purchase in quantity, even the postage is free. One of the best plumbing decisions I have ever made was to go with American Plumber Whole house filter system. A years worth of filters now cost me around thirty dollars and they do a great job of filtering out very fine particles.

Works well-prevents sediment toilet ring

Really helps reduce sediment rings forming in toilets. Water definitely smells better. When we change the filter we can see all the sediment that it has screened out. Amazing! Has to be good for the pipes to keep that from getting in there too.

Disappointed

I use these filters on the water that comes from my well. This water contains a large amount of rust. I was expecting each filter to last for several months but instead have to change it at least every four weeks and should probably do it much more often. I will not be buying these again.
