Works great.

I use it to feed my dog due to my long day and he has set himself a feeding time long before I would get home. So I get 6 days out of it and it works great. Also is silent when it runs unless you are right in the same room. Need D batteries!!

I'm not sure how to set it up because my son set it up for me but I use it and it works really well. The cats seem to like it too

Best automatic feeder yet

My cats, or especially one of my cats has broken very automatic cat feeder I have bought to date. Even ones claiming cats can’t get in to them that cost a lot more. He is very food driven and will overeat and get over weight any chance he gets. This feeder he wasn’t able to break yet.

Almost exactly what I needed

I spent quite a bit of time researching because I needed something that will allow the food to be dispensed with his pills in it as well so a traditional feeder wouldnt work to guarantee right pills at right time. This works great and is so incredibly easy to program and/or turn off when dont need it. The only reason i had to use the word "almost" is that he is a bigger dog so I wish the slots would hold a bit more food each. This works because I can do 3 a day instead of the 2 a day -but would prefer larger slots so could be 2 a day and give him the amount of food he needs. Hopefully they make one that holds more some day. All the other ones that dispense the right amount of food are ones that just poor from main dispenser so cant guarantee his meds in those ones. Love it!

So far so good. Super easy to program. I wish my alarm clock was that easy. Going away this weekend, looking forward to not imposing on someone to feed my kitty.

Double dispensing

This worked great for two months. But then I noticed my cat not eating all his meals. I also hide medicine in each portion so it's dosed regularly. It was alarming to see my cat not eating for that reason too. It turns out that the dish will spin out two portions several times a week. So my cat wasn't eating later meals because he'd fill up on the double portion. I can't rely on this anymore. Thankfully Chewy is giving me a full refund.

Very handy!

Our cats can't ration food out by themselves if we're going to be gone - they tend to eat it all when it's put out, even if it's more food than usual - scarfing down in one sitting what was intended to get them through a full day. This feeder is perfect to release the dry food mid-day and in the evening whether we're at home or not. We can supplement with canned food when we're home. It will also allow us to have a cat sitter only come once daily (or even every other day in a pinch) to feed canned food and refill it, rather than 2x/day. Best of all, even our cat who will do anything to get at food can't figure out how to get the cover off :)

Keep the Kitty Fed

The transaction was fine on your end. I now have a surplus of food for my cat because I set up Autoship too early. I'll go to my account and adjust my next auto ship. It's easy to do.

Thwarts Raccoons

I use a feeder in a covered box for an outdoor cat. A local raccoon learned how to spin and empty the five-meal feeder I had for years so I tried this. Unit is well made, easy to use, reliable, and impossible to manipulate for raccoons and (presumably) cats. If I used it for a cat only I'd find the pileup of food in the cup messy. This is probably best for gobbling cats that clean up every bit right away.

Not cat proof

Was excited about the prospect of using an auto feeder but it took only a short 48 hrs for my cat to get the top off and knock the feeder over so he could get at the food inside.

Works well

At first my cat didn’t like the small shallow bowl, but after a few days she got used to it. The Feed Now button is helpful. The downside is having to fill it every day.

I love how easy it is to set up!

[Rewarded Review] Better than chute feeders

This carrousel feeder seems to work much better than the chute feeders I have tried. The cheap plastic worm gear mechanism of those get misaligned and stop working. This Pet Safe 6 has six trays for food so you can program it to feed twice a day for three days if you want, which is usually enough for me and my away schedule. It's battery powered which works good for an outdoor covered patio. They say the batteries last about nine months. There is a sleep button behind the display door that shuts it off till you push it again. I have used it for three away trips and it has worked flawlessly. My cat and the strays here can tear up anything so I built a covered lockable wooden box with a slot for the feed tray so they can't get at the feed tray. I did this for the chute feeders but they malfunctioned anyway. This PetSafe 6 is easier to program also.

Worthless!!!

Thought the batteries went dead after a year. Spent another $10 on new batteries only to find out that it wasn’t the batteries but the feeder itself completely stopped working. For how much it costs and for it to completely stop functioning after 1 year I would never buy this company’s products again not recommend. Buyer beware!

Great performance; disappointing endurance

Like other reviews have said, this feeder successfully prevents even my very determined and food-motivated cat from batting out extra kibble between meals, which I greatly appreciate especially since he needs to lose a little weight. That said, I'm disappointed by the battery life--I bought this about a month ago and the four D batteries have already died and needed replacement, which is a bummer because if it happens again then rechargeable batteries or a new feeder may be necessary.

Works great once you figure it out

Someone complained about pressing the button a million times to set the time- press and hold the up and down button and it will scroll through til you let go.

Cat feeder

I needed a feeder for my cat where I could portion very small amounts of dry food over the day. She has GI disease and tends to eat fast and will vomit if her stomach is empty and I don't feed her. I often feel held hostage so this feeder is helping tons... it allows me to leave her for 8 hours during the day and she is being fed while I am gone and she is happy! Pro: not noisy, the sound of the food dropping signals to my kitty to come and eat, 6-meal slots is great, pretty easy to set. Cons: Need to press the numbers hard as I notice when setting times it doesn't always take, wish the entire tray/insert was removable so I can clean it, the whole feeder is a bit bulky. I also really need to buy a second one, as I use the one I purchased for the day time and it is a pain to reset for night feeds... so I wish the price was a little lower so I could buy a second one or even wish they made a mini version of this one ie. same look just smaller and 3-4 meals.

stopped working

Completely stopped working after less than 2 years

Good while it lasted

Delivered 4/10 and started using it within a few days. Today (6/15) it died. Thought it was a battery issue. Still did not work after new batteries.
