Stay away

I bought this water bowl to replace an old one. The tank is a major pain in the butt to remove and install. There are 2 little tabs you have to line up on the tank to two slots in the bowl, I have not yet been able to install this without water spilling all over the place. There is a little water filter on it, if you remove it, you'll have water all over the floor when you install it. When the tank is filled it is rather heavy. Making it again hard to match to the bowl. I'm thinking of cutting the little tabs off to help make the installation a little easier. Other than that, it's fairly well made and does hold a lot of water ( 4 gallons maybe?) you'll have to remove the tank before it's empty to clean the bowl of debris and funky looking water. My suggestion is to keep looking, there are better dog waterers out there, I'm looking at one now that I've had in the past. It worked great until the water bottle finally cracked after 6 years. It has a water bottle that looks like a water cooler bottle but lighter and smaller, 2 maybe 2 1/2 gallons. I don't recommend this one, but buy what you want, it's your money and maybe it comes to you easier than it does to me. Anyway, good luck with what ever one you choose and keep it full for your pets during this hot weather.
