Improves home ambiance

These retrofit can lights are easy to install and set up. The hue lights are my favorite smart lights due to their ease of control and routines. I found these lights on clearance and they are perfect for my bathroom remodel.

I have hue throughout my whole house and love it. Not only can I change the mood of the room that I’m in depending on the circumstances but I never have to flip a switch again or have to walk back to another room if I forgot to turn the lights off. Win win!

The lights are good. The color rendering is pretty solid. Make sure you turn them off with a switch because if you turn them off with a smart device there is a low dim. They also don’t like dimmers so if you do get these they will need a regular inn/off switch. Again, I love the lights and would buy more but just be ready for the minor things.

Dimmable LED Downlight Retrofit Kit with Color Control and loads of features

This is a dimmable LED downlight retrofit kit with color control and loads of other features. HUE is a leading brand in smart lighting and also a division of Philips. As one would expect from a well known brand like Philips, the quality of the kit is excellent down to the packaging. The light itself has a clean, minimalistic look. It has build-in bluetooth capability so one can easily pair it to a smart home app and control it via the app. However, to unlock all of its features, one needs to connect it to a HUE Bridge.

A specialty light

This was very easy to install in an existing floodlight location. We use it as white normally and then change the color for the impact of kids liking the difference. Since it's dimmable we have used it in a sleepover room for a unique nightlight. The installation is straightforward a replaces an old floodlight. The bluetooth connection worked well. If I had a lot of these, I'd try the phillips hub.

What a cool recessed light !

This is a very cool 4 inch round light that will work with Alexa and Google to operate. This also is white colored or ambience. This will replace a light that you have in place and will be an upgrade to what you have and be controlled by other means. Very easy to install with great directions will tell you everything you need to know to install properly. I highly recommend this light and possibly add more than just one to enhance your experience with all of them. The light is a great quality item and will add value to your home!

Simple lighting upgrades

This Philips white and color ambiance 4 in. high lumen integrated led dimmable smart recessed downlight retrofit kit with bluetooth is a cost effective, do it yourself, upgrade for existing 4" can lights. A provided adaptor screws in tot he bulb holder, providing power to the replacement light, which just slips in to the old bulb housing.

Easy Upgrade

These are versatile lights that are easy to install and make it easy to add color and style to any old can ceiling light. There is no wiring because you use the included adapter that screws into your existing bulb fixture (like any lightbulb would) and then push the light into the ceiling can...it's as easy as that. The Hue app discovered the light without any issues and within a minute I was changing colors and playing with all the settings using my phone. The only problem I had was that my Alexa app was not finding the light even though the skill was installed...at least not by the new name I gave it. I don't know, I still have to play with it, but I'm sure I'll get it to work. It is for that reason that I took off a star because other bulbs I've used did not have this issue. The white light is bright and temperature adjustable and the colors show solid and bright too, even though my pictures don't display that very well. You can dim them from inside the app as well. I hung it above my kitchen sink so we can use it for extra light during the day and then leave it on as a colorful nightlight for late-night trips to the refrigerator.
