Beautiful Ceilings !

Very thankful for this foam ceiling product! Turned ugly old ceilings to the look I can be happy with. So easy to put up.

I bought planks to do the whole house. I just did a smaller room first to test out the process. I was surprised by how easily it went. After figuring out how much glue to put on, and after buying an electric caulk gun, it was smooth sailing!

Very easy to install & glue up on vaulted ceilings. The only issue I have is they are easily damaged by your nails or hand pressing too hard. Make sure to put where you can NOT come in conatct with them, even with a tall ladder!!

I was shocked at what arrived on my doorstep. I thought these would be a sturdy foam material. Instead, these were incredibly flimsy and thin. They have the same shiny sheen of a cheap paper plate, but not as thick! Awful. Returned them immediately.

Overall it was good experience and I really like the finished product, but a few things to watch out for. They are advertised as being 6 x 39 inches, actually they are 6 1/2 inches wide. That 1/2 inch really throws off your square footage for a big area. If you buy too many you may have the same problem I did returning a partial. I had to convince Lowe's that I was misled by the measurement advertised. Another quirk was that they come shipped in packs of 12, but the packaging insert says that it contains 8 pieces. When we first opened the package my wife said that she can't believe that we are going to put hundreds of egg cartons on our ceiling. That is exactly what they feel like and are very fragile. After the first piece I had to go trim my fingernails so as not to put an impression in them. They do not tell you that you will need t buy glue separately. I emailed the company and got a response to use Loctite Power Grip, so I bought tubes of them to use in a caulking gun. It is the perfect product for these planks, but it is way too thick to squeeze out of the tube. It caused very sore hands, we decided to cut the tubes open and use a butter knife to apply to the planks. If you suck at drywall finishing like I do, it is a great solution for an ugly ceiling.

I'm honestly surprised how realistic the Foam Wood Ceiling Planks look like real wood. So easy to install, especially because they are so lightweight. We used to cover some previous ceiling damage, rather than replacing the entire ceiling. These perfectly fit the bill and they make the house so much more updated.
