I contacted Kona with a concern on the deterioration of the grill mat's surface. I explained how I used it on my grill and they sent me a package of two new mats as a replacement immediately.

JUST OK

The mats work ok. Any marinade used stays on mats and is difficult to drain off while meat is cooking. Good for grilling vegetables. Cleaning is not too bad. Sometimes I have to use a plastic scratcher to get cleaned. It would be better to grill meat on grill grates and less juicy items on the mats.

Misleading

Misleading. I got this in the mail today and it's rated for 500 degrees or less. Not 600. No markings on the mat like this picture. It's cheap like the rest. Buy the cheaper ones.

Perfect accesory for your grill

I love this grill mat and I would recommend this product to anyone who loves to cook on the grill!! I was able to slow cook ribs on the grill and get the perfect glaze of BBQ sauce. The mat works perfectly to roast veggies on the grill. Purchase this product and you wont be sorry.

Best grill mats ever!

Love these mats. Very durable, nonstick and no mess! This has made my grilling clean up time nonexistent! Just washed them in the sink and everything on the mat wiped right off.

WOW!!

All I can say is "WOW!" I love these grill mats! I bought the set of two so that I can put one on my grill and use the other for baking. I grilled my first steaks on the mat yesterday, and they steaks were great! I got great grill marks on the steak, and my clean up was so, so easy. I'm spoiled! I'll be buying these for gifts for friends and family!

This grill mat is worth every penny! I used one of the mats to bake chocalate chip cookies, it was truly nonstick and the cookies baked evenly with out any burning(I’m known for burning.) Easy clean up too, can’t wait to try the other one on the grill this holiday weekend!! Thanks Kona!

These grill mats are amazing!

These grill mats work exactly as described! They leave grill marks on your good, just like on your grates, except it eliminates the mess all over your grill. You can cook small items without them falling through the grill grates, it's non-stick, so you don't lose any meat that sticks to the grates and its super easy to clean. I can't believe I didn't know about these wonderful but simple mats in all my years of grilling. I don't think I will ever grill without them from now on! I've tried other mats with similar results but these are heavy duty, thicker and feel like they will last a long time with many uses. Worth every penny!

Best grill mat I have seen

I bought the Yoshi copper grill mat. I used it abot 3 times and this one, the KONA I used once. These yp eo mf mats are bestr used on a gas grill. I boght mine mailnly for fish. I have not tried veggies yeat, but I have seen them on video. One of these days I will try it. I cooked fish on medium heat not the lowest. Also the thickness is not advertised and one makes a choice whether to keep it or not. I bought min eabout 8yrs ago and wreck it.

KONA BBQ Grill Mat

So far these non stick grill mats have exceeded my expectations. The Pro's -Non stick surface is excellent. you can slide the meat around easily. Before the KONA grill mats my burgers, chicken, steak all use to to stick to the grill until after the first turn. -Grilled vegetables have a more steamed appearance rather than crispy black burns. -The grill stays clean, only have to wash the mats which takes less 30 seconds. burned charred food and 20 minutes of soaking, the days of black soot are over. -I have a convection grill and my biggest pet peeve was the fat and juices left behind filling the openings, plugging the grill from the flame. I had to soak and scrub the cooked on leftovers which was very messy. The mats took care of that. -The taste is as good if not better. The meat is more moist/juicy never dry. -I use to always grill on the lowest heat setting, with the mats I needed to turn up the gas 1/2 for a similar cooking time frame. -You still get grill marks if that's your thing. I personally I like to cook the meat only the mats and at the end. Remove the mats and throw the juicy meat directly only the grill to seal the juice and flavor in and get the defined grill marks everyone wants.

A work buddy described cooking on his mat and I was skeptical. But, he actually undersold how good it really is. I had replaced my grates a few months ago and did not cook on them before using my new mat. I've cooked probably 15 times since and my grates still look brand new by using the mat. Plus, the food gets cooked just as thoroughly and quickly as without a mat. and it does leave grill marks. Cleaning the mat after use involves normal washing in the kitchen sink with dish soap and a sponge and if you get a little splatter on the grates while cooking, a little spray of water/ammonia and a paper towel after the grill cools provides quick clean up. I highly recommend.
