One pane of glass was installed on top of the little lip to keep it in place, so I had to unscrew the entire pane to get it under the edge

Quality and Lies Flat!

This is extremely well built, solid. It will not tip over. It also is a great weight, so I am not concerned that my cats will get into the fireplace. Essentially the point was to keep the curious kitties out. I am sure it will be great for its intended purpose as well. Because fireplace measurements are so unpredictable, I appreciate the glass sides providing additional coverage. You can adjust the inside stabilizers to the actual width of your fireplace so it sits flat. Easy to assemble. Only surprise was the glass is textured. This is a quality piece that does the job.

Not what I thought I bought

Does not have glass doors, only screen covering. Glass on side panels only.

Very nice! High quality. One of the magnets is a bit too strong and it drags the whole thing forward when I try to open that door.

The product was not described correctly online, after we asked a specific question on the Home Depot website about it. The doors were incorrectly described as glass, but actually they are metal screening.

I am very happy with the new screen. It is such a large screen but their size was accurate, it feels very sturdy and we are looking forward to the first fire. Only concern is the glass being covered in soot and cleaning needed.

Great replacement for spark curtains

We removed our spark guard curtains and are using this screen instead. It looks so much cleaner and better, and is much easier to operate! The fact that the rear legs are adjustable to ensure a flush fit against the surround is great, since our fireplace opening is a bit on the small side. The screen is well made and seems pretty robust. It's easy to assemble -- just a few screws to add the legs and handles. We just put it together yesterday, but we're happy so far!
