[Rewarded Review] Beautiful bathroom faucet!
The BWE bathroom faucet is solid, sleek and modern. The body is solid brass; you can tell that by its weight. It is high-end quality sold at a reasonable price. So easy to operate; I appreciate the ease of just one lever to turn on and adjust the temperature. The water pressure is great and the flow is excellent. Installation was easy and went smoothly.
[Rewarded Review] Leaks from up inside the faucet
This faucet comes with the supply lines attached up inside the faucet stem. Even taking the top off with the included allen wrench and removing the cartridge doesn't get me into where those supply lines attach. The included supply lines are 6" too short to reach my shutoffs inside the vanity so I purchased extensions, and I needed a longer escutcheon (also manufactured by BWE to match) because my vanity had a widespread faucet before and I needed to cover the old holes. After all that, this faucet leaks up inside somewhere. It leaks only when the handle is turned to the hot side and oddly leaks on that side even if the hot is turned off at the shutoff. Go figure. I emailed the company 3 days ago about the defect, they responded immediately asking for photos which I sent, and I've heard nothing since. I had to remove it all and put my old one back on in order to use the sink.
[Rewarded Review] Great Look. 3 Things I Wish I Would Have Known...
The BWE single hole faucet has a nice modern asthenic appearance. While removing the previous faucet that came standard with the house, it was easy to notice the BWE faucet was made from higher quality material and felt way more durable than the builders grade faucet. There are 3 things I wish I would have known prior to getting started with this faucet swap. Number 1 - Be aware that this faucet does not include a matching drain cap. If you already have brushed nickel fixtures, than you should be fine. If your current faucet is any finish other than brushed nickel, you are going to have a mismatched faucet and drain. You can get a drain in the same finish as the faucet at Home Depot and are not very expensive. Due to the drain portion being inexpensive, it was a bit annoying that I now need to go get a match drain stopper. Which leads me to my second thing I wish I knew.
