I love my new solid-wood coffee table! It looks beautiful and was manageable to build alone as a single woman (although definitely would be easier with two people). The lift-top feature and storage space are an added bonus. There was a minor paint chip from shipping and a few loose screws in the pre-assembled lift-top, but otherwise it was a seamless process and I would highly recommend this table.
Treat Delicately
We thought we were investing in a high-quality piece, but we were disappointed. The screws that attach the tabletop to the lifting mechanism and legs are not installed well. When we first received our table, as soon as we lifted the top all of the screws stripped their holes and the entire tabletop came away. We received a replacement table, and some of the screws occasionally fall out of their holes. The table is also uncoated, so it is difficult to clean.
Overall very happy with this coffee table. Only complaint is the hardware is only mounted in the center we had to add some support so that when you lift it on the sides it will still lift straight up.
