The upgrade we’ve been waiting for
The increased BTU’s of this unit makes a huge difference over the original firecan for cold weather camping. Definitely worth the upgrade if you spend any time camping in the winter or just want a larger flame year round.
Love it… love it…love it
With all the fire restrictions, this little gem is perfect
Best camping purchase
Great product!! Love the convenience!! Quality build.
Summer fun
Just got my elite yesterday and I'm trying it out on my patio.i use half the moonrocks with gas on low and flame is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone well built perfect little fire pit. cant wait for travels it is awesome.
Great product
Just purchased while on a excursion through the US
Worked great for one night
Bought this late last summer and worked fine me for one day on our first camping trip. Just got into day three of a three week trip and it doesn’t work. The unit not stays on with the control valve pushed in, which means a sore thump and the choise of either a small flame or no hair left. Looks like the fancy Canadian version’s thermocoupler is a problem. So much for bringing a fire pit during a April trip in northern Canada.
So good!
I love this little Fire Can! It puts out a good amount of heat with the FireCan Rocks in there. The ground underneath stays cool too so I don't have to worry about what surface I'm using it on. We used it for an after work evening climb session along with the Gas Growler 5.0 Deluxe and it was the perfect set up. Easy to use, super portable. This will go with me everywhere. I think it will be a perfect little fire for the parking lot at the mountain too and takes up way less space than my portable fire pit.
Even better than expected!
I did a bit of research regarding flame height and output, based on my specific needs and landed on the Elite. What a great piece of kit! Flame on high with moon rocks is about a foot above the can, which is great, because that means I can usually use it on low for a nice aesthetic and plenty of warmth. On low, the flame is 3-4” above the top of the can, which is what I’m looking for most of the time. Using it on low saves fuel and is much quieter. Can’t wait to really use this at the site and I can’t wait to try it with a skillet on top!
Fire Can Elite outside of Death Valley
After getting an adapter to hook our new Fire Can Elite up to the propane tank of our camper van we were able to enjoy a warm night in the desert just outside of Death Valley. We've used it a few times now and have been quit happy with the flame the Moon Rocks provide. Doesn't need to be turned up very much to provide warmth and ambiance, so doesn't use much of our propane. Looking forward to using it more in the future.
Firecan Review: Fast Delivery and Exciting Adventures Await
Great service, quick delivery. Looking forward to using my new Firecan on next trip.
Everything is well built, top notch!
My son uses his on rafting trips and recommended it to me. Equipment arrived on time and intact. Every item looks professionally built and well thought out. Tried it out at home and worked perfectly! Cannot say to much how good it looks and well built! Wish we had it last summer with so many “no fire” restrictions. It’s even better that it is made by a local company (Pacific Northwest).
Very nice!
I love this product! We bring it to picnics in the park and it’s a big hit. The rest of the time we use it on our condo balcony. Highly recommend!
This is a fantastic product for compact car campers, about the the size of a 12 pack of cans when it's folded into its own complete package. I did add some light weight fire pit stones. It puts out a lot heat and is rated at 50k Btu's.. Very sturdy, quality stainless steel build.
Love my Firecan
Love this little unit, with solid sturdy legs that fold. Folded up it's barely bigger that a 12pk of cans. It puts out plenty of heat, the one I got from MEC is 50k BTU's.
Excellent design and function!!
I was very excited about the Firecan Elite right out of the box light weight, compact and sturdy as hell. After an overnight during campfire ban and using it for the first time i love it. Been searching for a propane fire pit for a while very happy going with Ignik.
Consistent, Satisfying Fires Every Time
The Elite model is a standout in the world of portable fire pits. The heat it produces is consistent and strong, making for a satisfying fire every time. I've used the original firecan in the past, and this is definitely a nice upgrade in not only heat output but also the quality of materials. Don't get me wrong, the original firecan is a very high-quality product with no complaints, but this elite version, with the anodized coating, is just a beautiful thing to look at and hold! Not to mention you notice the weight difference between the original due to the higher-end alloys used in the Elite. Definitely worth the extra cost. Surprised it's not more actually!
Consistent, Satisfying Fire Every Time
The Elite model lives up to its name. The heat distribution is excellent. Can't wait to take this on more adventures.
Good form-factor for storage and a lot of heat
I was very impressed with the Firecan; both from its stainless steel construction and performance. It is well made. The burner is a large oval style; not just a linear tube. It throws off a lot of heat. I use it 4wheeling in place of a fire now that we have on-going fire bans. The unit has vents on both sides so you can position yourself upwind without moving it. I put several moon rocks in it to reduce wind flow-through and to capture more heat. I intent to build an aluminum 3-piece folding reflector both as a wind shield and for extra heat in the winter. I use a 10lb propane cylinder that I use for cooking. You have to watch your propane level if you use it over several days. I carry extra 1 lb cylinder for emergency cooking!
Pricey and worth every penny.
This has been the most amazing propane firepit for overlanding/ car-camping. It's compact, produces enough heat for 1-2 people and runs on a 5lb tank! The customer service from not only MEC but Ignik is top notch.
