Storage Sadness

Recently bought two of the Botanic storage jars to replace some old ones that got broken. And when I say old I mean 30+ years. Can you imagine my disappointment when I eagerly opened the packaging to find that the new ones in no way match the quality of my old ones. The lid is no longer solid wood, the botanic images are very dull no where near the crisp colorful of the old and they just don't seem as sturdy. I'll use them grudgingly but definitely won't be buying anymore.😪😪😪

I’m a long time lover of this design. Many of my friends have so loved my dinner services that they have gone on to buy them themselves . I bought this storage pot for a friend for her birthday and it is lovely. These storage jars last forever, are very pretty and are airtight so very useful as well as decorative.
