good replacement
These sash locks work smoothly and use the same screw holes as my 40-year-old similar sash locks. The screws are a bit smaller but still hold. In some cases I had to hammer the the latch part smaller to tighten the closure.
Great for tightening up loose windows
Our windows were not fitting right and we could feel a breeze if we were sitting near the window when the wind was blowing. The prior sash locks allowed the top window to sag and the bottom window to pull up.
