Meh.

I wasnt thrilled with this. It arrived with a slight curve to it. When I press it flat against the wood, small cracks appear all over it. I havent tried to glue it down yet, but I think its going to be difficult to get it to stay down/flat without damaging it.

Nice accent

Perfect!

I used this onlay on the front of my mantle and it looks great! Along with two side flowers, it gave my plain mantle front a lot of elegance.

Small shelf decorating

This worked great for a small shelf over my fireplace with t.v.above the shelf. This decorated the shelf to match the fireplace. Easy to attach, and color was perfect.

Excellent piece, very easy to work with and install

I like the smooth finish and easy installation of this urethane piece much more than veneered pieces. Good value at the price. Sometimes the design of a piece like this makes a difference as far as ease to install; this piece doesn't have tight corners so using adhesive is easier. In my application (a fireplace surround) I simply needed to apply a bead of strong adhesive caulk about 1/4" inside the edge all around and then firmly press onto the surface. The caulk bled outside the edges in spots; that was easily removed with a putty knife and it was easy to smooth that for a very nice finished look. I painted it after installing since the surround was being painted too, but it is also easy to pre-finish it, too. The material is stronger than expected and easy to work with. The end result was excellent.
