Progressive Apple Machine FAIL

FAIL: The Progressive Apple Machine is no longer progressive - in the sense that the apple no longer progresses through the corer/slicer blade. The blade deflects and bends and deflects against the pressure of the apple being pushed against it (it's thin stamped metal held fast by a wingnut). As a result, the peeler arm gouges the apple instead of peeling it. This failure happened after only two uses. Worse, I tried to notify the seller about this but the send button on contact seller page does not work.

Broke

After two uses it broke. It also didn’t core all the way because the corer pushed thru. Huge mess and frustrating. Save money and buy a better made one.

Made peeling much easier

I had 5 gallons of apples to peel. Once I got the hang of this, it was great. I didn't use the corer/slicer because I wanted bigger pieces for apple pie. Only thing I would wish is that they would make the corer and slicer as separate pieces.

I'm on the fence

About this because my child eats quite a few apples and it just seemed easier than peeling them all by hand but I have found if you don't have really big apples then this doesn't work very well I have quite a few that were really small and it did not like to work with them so as long as you're using big fruit then it will probably OK

Apple pies for Christmas

When you are making 12 apple pies that uses 4 cups of apples each, you need all the help you can get. I love this peeler as it is metal, well made, and efficient, It saves much strain on my hand because peeling 48 cups of apples by hand is almost impossible for me. Love this product and pies are in the freezer ready for Christmas giving.

I love this little machine!

I have an apple machine that is 25 years old, and figured it was time to get a new one. It is perfect if you need to cut multiple apples at one time, such as for making apple sauce, apple butter, or even apple pies and cobblers. The machine spiralizes the apples, and removes the skin, so you only need to cut down lines to get perfect little pieces! I love this machine!

Great

This makes peeling apples so easy. It clamps so doesn't travel when using. Does a good job of getting most of the peel off the apple. Best use is when you peel lots of apples and really not for peeling just one.

one bad apple machine

My sister in law let me use her apple machine to see how it worked. I loved it..... However when I ordered mine it was a disaster.. It wouldn't stay on track, the peeler part kept popping out & it was a mess. This was the very same brand but appeared to be made very cheaply. Needless to say I am very, very disappointed.. I think I got a lemon...

Great Machine for Arthritis Sufferers!

This thing is Great for peeling, coring & slicing apples. I would STRONGLY recommend , however , that you only use on HARD APPLES. Soft ones will fall apart. Otherwise, Great product.

So far so good!!

I've had it one day and it seems to be working well. It has an extra cutter blade. I cook lots of organic apples for dinner and this was my reason for the purchase.

Works Very Well

I had given up on apple machines after buying a used one. I saw this machine in a clamp model selling at a lower price than a used one would sell for on eBay and decided to give it a try. It does a great job and is easy to set up and operate. The core diameter is just right to keep from cutting into the seeds. Makes short work of prepping apples for the dehydrator.
