Prolux 2.0

I clean a full service salon and I have found the power head works well on carpets. The top of the vacuum that attaches to the hose continually comes apart. I expected a longer and higher quality cord. The attachments are difficult to change out since I need to switch from a baseboard attachment to a bare floor.

You won't regret buying this.

It's easy to move about with speed. It was shocking what it removed from freshly vacuumed carpet with my old vac. Noise level is a bit large. The backpack is comfortable to wear and the attachments are high quality and plentiful. It's what I have been waiting for!!

Unable to use

Arrived broken. The representative wanted to send replacement parts instead of just send the brand new broken vacuum back for a new one. I then wanted to just possibly keep the accessories but that required me to take pictures as if they don’t know what comes with the vacuum. Overall looking for a new brand to purchase from

Do your research for a higher quality product.

After a year of use for residential cleaning I can give a true review. Initially I loved this vacuum. It made jobs that much easier being able to carry a vacuum around on my back. It made jobs faster. It has a plethora of attachments, although I didn’t really use them all. The brush head is my favorite. It was really easy to start up and use from the beginning. It’s very easy to take apart and empty and clean the canister. Unfortunately after a year things just started slowly breaking. I wish I would have done my research to find a better quality vacuum for the amount of money I spent. Within the first few months the backstrap broke, but customer service was great and replaced it. Now after a year multiple things have broken. The cord clip snapped off, the top handle for the canister has broken off making it unable to be used now. The small brush roll attachment has also lost all of its teeth. The screws constantly come loose on the back strap while using the vacuum so you have to carry around a screwdriver to tighten them after every use which really is an annoyance. It was a great idea, but poorly made. For the amount of money I spent I wish everything wasn’t breaking after only a years use.

The set of tools that come with it are also well-designed and make it easier to clean hard-to-reach spaces. Also big thumbs-up to be bagless as no additional replacement bag costs are incurred, and the container is easy to clean/replace. Thanks again!

Great product

I own my cleaning company and I have been loyal customer to Prolux, the quality of product is great compare to others out there. I am able to perform my job without any problems. I have tried to reach out to them vial email looking for parts for my vacuum to no avail. I highly recommend their products for any job. Always support any America made product before anything else. Thank you guys and please work on the responses to the customers, that itself will go a long way in my books.

2.0 BBV is an adjustment

2.0 BBV is so far wonderful. There is a learning curve on changing to a backpack. The chest strap is a little high and makes me feel like it’s choking me until I get settled in. Changing attachments can be tricky while it’s on your back. I like the weight and the ease of it once it’s going. I love the long cord! Going to order the carpet attachment

It’s nice

It’s very light weight. Easy to use & put together. I wish it came with the carpet attachment instead of just the multi floor unit but either way it still works great. I use it for my housekeeping business. The light weight part is my favorite :)

My favorite vacuum

I have had my own cleaning business for 5 1/2 years and this is far the best brand to work with. My clients always ask me what brand I am using and where I get my vacuums.The backpack vacuums have the best power to them and I always receive I quick response back when I need help with a broken piece. I am not told to merely “send it out” for repairs.I have to clean them out every night, after work but I know that they’re in excellent shape in the morning! Highly recommend

Loving this backpack

I have my own small cleaning business and have been in business for over 30 years. With cleaning a lot of hardwood flooring I needed something lightweight and easy to use. This is taking me a bit to get used to as I always had a mini vac with a shoulder strap. I’m not a huge fan of the pole clamp due to I have to get underneath furniture and I’ve come close to damaging a client’s piece of furniture, so now I’m extra careful to make sure it doesn’t hit. I think I’d prefer the pole that has the button to adjusts to the length that suits you. The suction is amazing so I’m loving that. I’m a bit ocd when it comes to keeping my vacuums clean so they don’t get a smell that’s nasty, so I’m having to make sure it’s clean every day. I will definitely be getting several filters so I can change them often. Thanks for putting out this amazing vacuum to make my job easier I’m very pleased 😃

Great suction but a few tweaks by the manufacture and it would be great

My vacum came with a power head. To push the power head you have to be hercules. I have to open the valve and reduce the suction just so I can move the head reasonably easy. There should be a wheels and a way to change height for different carpet sizes on this head to make it work seeing as that head cost me an extra 200.

I could not wait for this vacuum to arrive! After starting a cleaning business with a friend several years ago, I realized a backpack vacuum would be great to get around more efficiently but could not find one that was bagless since I was cleaning lots of homes and didn't want to have to replace bags all the time. I cut up an old backpack and rigged it around a Shark vacuum, it was not great but I knew I was on to something. I just didn't have the skills to make it happen. So, I have been maintaining and replacing parts to an old upright Shark vacuum that I loved but they don't make anymore. I knew my days were limited on replacement parts and accessories. Maybe it was time to look again for my dream vacuum...enter the Prolux 2 Commercial Vacuum! I think my dreams may have come true! I received it today and did my whole house without unplugging the vacuum and just switching out the accessories. AMAZING! The power was awesome, the canister filled right up! My floors were clean! There is a learning curve on how to move about the house with a vacuum strapped to my back. Strap adjustments and tool placement are things I will have to learn to navigate. But I have backpacked the Grand Canyon and the Tetons so adjustments are nothing new to me. Might even transfer some accessory straps from my hiking backpack to the vacuum straps to hold things. It will take a few trips around my client's homes to get it down but I think this is going to be a perfect fit for our business.

Power brush head

I have this exact vacuum. I was vacuuming the house and the vacuum head sounded like something was stuck. So I took the face off and the locking mechanism that holds the brush off and when I took it off I realized that it looked stripped/plastic was broken and that's why it sounded like something was stuck. The brush had fell off on the side that has the turn lock and now won't stay on.. looking to get a replacement part but not sure where to look for it.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Only a few fixes and this would be magical!!

LOVE the suction and all the various pieces. Theres an attachment for everything making each job sooo much easier. One unfortunate aspect is that the attachments don't "click" into any space making them really easy to come off. The most annoying is the main hose attachment to the vaccum itself, because it is difficult to reach behind you, you have to take off the entire unit to put the hose back in and get back to work. The buckle on the top of the chest piece is thin and came broken, but other then that (learning how to navigate the cord etc) its an amazing tool!!

Great concept, needs improvement

Small and compact, being bagless is great, but the suction is horrible. Has a hard time picking up small pebbles and dirt. My wife and I have a commercial cleaning business, so it being smaller and bagless is great for the amount of vacuuming we do in buildings. But vacuuming scrubber entrance mats that have pebbles and dirt was not easy. It wouldn't pick up a lot of things that other vacuums we have do. The rubber hose attachment is extremely long and knocks into things quite often. If the rubber hose was shorter and the metal tube was longer, I think it would help with that. Great customer service once they finally got back to us. Trying another product our to see if it better fits our needs

Great Vacuum, Service/Warranty questionable

The vacuum is great, I really love it! Unfortunately after only two uses, the vacuum head had intermittent power. The only way to get ahold of customer service is through email, there’s no phone number to call. I was told the part would be replaced but first I had to return my part. They provided a label/paid for shipping. It took a week for the package to get there and I haven’t heard about the replacement. It’s been nearly two weeks without a vacuum. So while I love the vacuum, I’m not sure how I feel about the whole experience.

The vacuum itself is great when it’s up a running. I’m having major trouble putting it back together after cleaning it. That’s the inconvenient part. I’m still trying to put it back together to run it again, but I’m stumped after one use. I’ve read the manual and it’s very self explanatory, but without really forcing the lid back on to cover the filter, there’s no way it’s going back on. I’ve considered returning the equipment and just using the Sharks, as heavy and limited as they are.

What I received may have been a reconditioned or repackaged. The packaging looked beat up and re-taped.Everything looked new but the manuals wheee were digested and slightly worn. The attachments were all loosely packed, just thrown into the box. The long bristles were deformed on one so not functional. I called their 800# and they sent me a new one. The hose kept coming off of the metal wand. Good suction. Heavy, fatiguing to use after just 10 minutes. Returned to Home Depot.

Excellent for cleaning companies!

We have a residential cleaning company and are absolutely blown away by this vacuum. For the price, it stands apart from the competition. The powered head is perfect for high pile carpets and rugs while the led strip on the head lights up even the smallest of debris on hard surfaces. The backpack is light and it’s pretty quiet without sacrificing CFM. The exhaust is distributed around the canister which prevents air from blowing papers and other things from desks etc as we move around in rooms. The only minor complaint is the exhaust blows back toward the cleaner which can get pretty warm, especially in summer months here in southern AZ. Hasn’t stopped me from purchasing several of these for our employees already. Highly recommend for larger houses or for commercial applications.

Ingeniously mobile, wonderful long cord, convenient to use

I love that I do not have to drag this vacuum around, it is light and wonderfully freeing. The cord is so long I can reach that extra far spot without having reconnect to a closer outlet. The suction is really strong and it came with great, useful attachments, (some fit a little too tight and are hard to fit in and out.) Perhaps it is because it is brand new and things will loosen up after I use it a bit more. It is Wonderful to empty the bag at the touch of a button and I do not need to replace bags.
