Very good retrofit unit

Overall it's a very good unit, easy to install and looks good without changing the valve. My only complaint is that because it's a retrofit, everything sits higher. The body sprayers are quite high, the handheld unit cannot come down lower then the top body sprayer nozzle. You cannot use the body sprayers and the rain head together.

Catastrophic Failure After 1 Year

Buyer beware! After about 1 year of use, the rainfall shower head burst and literally fell apart under normal use. Inside there were no signs of mineral buildup or corrosion and the water pressure in our house is dismally low. The plastic shower head simply failed.

Cheap Junk

Valve failed again for the second time. Paid $250 plus a plumber to install. The valve that changes which shower function you use failed about six months in. Meaning thot you could no longer switch from shower head to handheld to triple shower heads. Recd the part that was recalled. Paid a plumber again to install it. A year later the "new and improved" replacement part has failed again.

Longevity. Broke >1yr

I will admit that when it was fully functional I really enjoyed this unit. The 3 sprayers at the bottom are honestly kind of pointless. I thought they would pulsate or something so that you could get a back massage but it’s just a constant high pressure mist. The main issue is that after only having it for 6 months the rainfall shower head broke. While taking a shower there was a loud pop and now water goes everywhere. And don’t you know the only way they can fix it is if I show them the serial number or receipt. To be honest I wasn’t expecting a $200+ shower head to break so quickly and don’t know many people who hold onto their trash for times like this. Recommend whatever your option #2 is.

Crap

didn't get to install after 90 days due to construction. after 3 weeks of use one of the sprayers snapped off. All I did was turned off and it snapped right off. Fast forward to now (7 months after use), the screw to turn from different settings is stripped. poorly made I would never buy then again. I thought I was buyING quality for that price. Guess again ..

Mount too high isn't long enough for walk in showe

This is not made for a shower with a high mounted outlet. The body jets are not low enough and at best this would be ideal for a shower/tub combo in which the outlet is lower than a walk in shower. The body jets would still sit too high. Would have been nice if there was an extension option. Min. of 28in between spout and handle, but your handle should be very low. I'm 5ft 7in. At a spout outlet height of 83" from the floor the body jets would hit me in the face and above me head. Measured my shower tub combo in other bathroom. 73" from tub floor to shower spout. The body jets would still begin at face level. Ideally if the outlet is about 73in from the floor its will work well. The handle must be really low. Not good for a walk in shower. Stand in your shower. Place your hand where you would want the top body sprayer to be. reach down 22 inches from there and that's where your handle would need to be. Reach up 14 in and that is where your shower spout would need to exit the wall. You could also measure from the spout down 14in and that will tell you exactly where the sprayers would be.

All the negative reviews below are correct. Unfortunately for me I didn’t see the reviews until after we bought it. However Lowe’s made for an easy return. Thank you Lowe’s! For the highest priced shower head in stock, I had high expectations! As my husband says, the most expensive is not always the best. The worst part is the noise this shower head makes. I heard it from the other end of the house & came to investigate after my husband installed it & turned on the water. Hope this is helpful.

Didn't last 3 months

Rain shower head blew up after 2 1/2 months of use despite my cleaning it every 2 weeks because of hard water deposits. it was installed in new tile shower so I can't return it. I have to replace the shower head and deal with it. Would not recommend this product.

In home spa

This shower head sure does feel good with the various settings you get either individually or more than one at a time. The 8" rain shower head doesn't kill my head anymore and feels like an autumn mist. If I want the pressure, I just use the 3 heads that hit on my back/spine.

Rain head stopped working. Pulse Shower System

Called company to discuss reasons for failure of Rain head. Representative determined the actuator routing water to the rain head was clogged. Gave me a schematic of a like unit. Totally different configuration than the unit I have. No simple way to repair it nor to disassemble the unit to fix it.

Love the spray options.

It was what I hoped it was. l loved the style. The water flow is great. The installation is not all that easy. So make sure you pay attention to the Bilt video. The major set back for me was not measuring the Clearance from the wall past your shower wall. Ours is 2.75 inches. This caused the problem of finding a neck extension that came straight out of the wall that would be long / short enough for the fixture to mount level. This is where I gave it 4 stars. The inlet fitting Does not have a strong secure hold on the fixture. It is slowly pulling out of the shower fixture. Hate to return, but can't fix the problem.

Would recommend only to short people

The system is simple to install and materials are quality. But the design is only for short people. Let me explain....

Not worth the $$$

FIrst, the rain shower head kept popping off and would not stay on. I contacted the company for a replacement part, still no answer one month later. I write them once a week. Third week in, a loud clanking and banging noise began to the point i could hear it in the next room every time we ran the shower. Lastly, the connecting piece to the top shower water supply does not screw in. They rely on three rubber gaskets to prevent leaking. By week 4 i had water gushing theough the gaskets at the main water connection. Water leaked EVERYWHERE behind my walls. I have a Jacuzzi similar and it performs way better for half the price. Also there are NO dual head/water function. My spouse and i enjoy showering together with the rain and handheld. NOT an option with this shower. One feature only. My showerhead didnt even allow the handgeld and jest to operate simultaneously. All made of cheap plastic except the primary bar everything is attached to.

Not worth the price paid - hoping for better

Replaced existing single shower head with this "premium" shower product and I was disappointed! Install was EASY especially with the new app for iPad to visually walk/talk you through the steps. That part was 5 stars.

no pressure

had this system installed in my new bathroom shower. was told all three units worked together..they did not..only one at a time. now 1 yr later rain shower doesn't work and the pressure to that shower hand held unit is very weak. pressure to the other two bathroom units is fine. not happy with this espensive unit.

Defective lasted less than 5 months

We bought this and less than 5 months of being installed the rain head part stopped working. I agree with the others it's not worth the money! You cannot use but one option at a time which was not what was stated upon purchasing it. The three massaging jets hits only in your eyes n throat areas so these was never used. I will purchase a rain shower head to replace this and hope Lowes takes this defective unit back. The company should back their product since so many are having the same issue.

wow. great shower

I dont get all the negative reviews about the body jets. If your shower head is at a normal height you wont have any issues with it spraying in you face unless your reall short but you can turn off the top 2 jets simply by turning them counter clockwise if you want. This shower has great pressure. Feels great. Found myself not wanting to get out. All parts of this feel great and feels well built like a luxury product should. The hand shower feels a little on the light duty side but it still feels great and the preasure of if is super. Really glad i pirchased this. Install only took 45 minutes and i did not watch the install video. Just followed the instrctions and used common sense. Hope this helps someone make the decision to buy it. It really is great

[Rewarded Review] Good product /difficult & costly installation.

Great product with balance between the rain head and hand wand. However, while the installation said 1 hour, not very realistic. One needs to remove the supply tube which extends into the wall. That requires being able to see and assure no leaks after replacement. For mine it would require removing tile from the wall and probably best done by a plumber and masonry skills. For me, too expensive, so returned.

Don’t buy this item. It is expensive and two weeks after installation, the rain shower head stopped working. Only the handheld & the body sprayers work. And the body sprayers are on all the time, hitting me right in the face even when using the hand held. It looks great and on paper seems like a great product but was a real let-down. Also when I get into the shower to clean the walls and rinse with the handheld, I get soaked because the body sprayers are always on. I have to clean it when I am done showering and before I get dressed. Can’t take this thing out and replace it with another fixture because it is mounted to the tile. We would have to cut out the tile and replace it. I ignored the other bad reviews and now am stuck with an expensive fixture that doesn’t perform. I pretty much bought this fixture just FOR the rain head.....

[Rewarded Review] Great concept, poor design

Purchased this today. Took one piece out the box (the long one with the 3 jets) held it in my shower for placement and realized one “body” jet will be above my head, the other at around my face and the last one at my neck. So disappointed I wanted them on my body not face and neck. I hope they will consider a redesign at some point because I would like to purchase one that is more in line with what I’m looking for. Meantime will continue my search.
