Great product for making RO water for brewing beer (or other uses.) In brewing beer, mineral content of the brewing water is important, so one approach is to remove all minerals using RO, then add them back in the desired concentrations. To brew 5 gallons of beer takes 8-10 gallons of water, so capacity and filtering rate are important. The PUN4RO has a 2 gallon “storage” tank (capacity is not in the specs – I had to ask PUR tech support) and a quoted 23.3 gal per day maximum filtering rate. While I could pour the 2 gal from the storage tank, wait 2 hours, pour another 2 gal, etc., it would take 8 hours or so to get all of the water needed for a brew. A better solution came from a YouTube video, where the person routed the RO water output tubing to a plastic barrel with a float valve mounted at a specific height. So, the RO unit can run continuously for as long as needed, overnight for instance, to produce the desired quantity of water and automatically shut off.

This second one was put into a large laundry room addition and I just got the system working tonight after the plumber finished the sink install and added the supply valve for me. This DI water system is a breeze to install, it comes almost completely assembled so you will only have to connect the water line in, the water line to the drain. And the water line to the storage tank. All connections are color coded for simplicity and colored tubing is supplied to make each connection with, could not be more simple. The only thing different for each installation is the tapping of the cold water line. The cold water shut off valve on my sink was a compression fitting and the tap for the DI system was just 1/2 inch pipe threads so I shut off the water to the house and put the tap between the house plumbing and the shut off valve. the tap has a shut off on it so it works out fine. Every connection from there on is supplied. It is a nice looking compact system that should last for years. The water tastes better and it is mineral free so I use it in the coffee maker so it will never have to be de-limed anymore.

I am extremely pleased with my new PUR 4-stage reverse osmosis water filtration system. I chose to install the system in my daughters bathroom because we fill up humidifiers every night and they are big water drinkers at night. I faced some challenges installing the unit because it was installed in a very shallow vanity. This unit is designed for a kitchen base cabinet but it works great for a bathroom as well, just be prepared to get creative get the unit to fit. The kit comes with everything you need aside from a hole saw bit for you counter. The faucet that comes with it is also very nice. I wish the water pressure was a bit stronger but it is more than sufficient for filling a glass of water.

I'm very happy with this RO system now that it is installed. It comes with a separate faucet, but it works well with a single hole faucet set-up with a few modifications. We've had a eye out for an under the sink RO system for a while now. Although this system comes with a faucet, we decided not to drill through our granite countertop to install it. Instead, we purchased a 3-in-1 faucet designed to work with RO systems like this.

The PUR 4-stage universal reverse osmosis water filtration system will be the perfect solution to our issues with well water. Not only is the well water hard requiring us to have a water softener, tests show that it has a number of contaminants. We will finally have safe drinking water from the faucet included in the kit. In fact, the kit contains everything you need for installation. We have called our plumber to install the system but their scheduling is delayed due to COVID. My husband doesn't like to tackle any project that requires plumbing and we need a special tool to drill a hole in our quartz countertop for the faucet. The system does require space in the cabinet under the sink so I'll have to reorganize my storage. The bracket mounts will definitely help preserve space. In addition to copper, chlorine and fluoride, the system should reduce lead by almost 97%.

Does exactly what it says it does. Water is taste free. The kit contains all the parts you will need. There is only one hitch that you may have to come up with a work around. It does come with a separate spigot that will need a hole in the counter. Stone counters can be difficult for the DIY person to drill a hole into. Other than that the plumbing is basic. They provide an inlet and outgo part to rig into the pipes. I'm very pleased with this unit. I prefer the type of filters it uses for heavy particles. Very nicely done.

The area that I live in is well known for hard water and I have already installed a water softener for the entire house I picked up this reverse osmosis for underneath my kitchen sink to provide pure water for drinking and cooking purposes. I have also plumbed in the icemakers as well to so I get the clean water for that as well. Thing I like about the most about this kid is it uses universal filter so you should be able to find them at most places

I had one of these that last for 16 years before the tank stop inflating. Pur makes one of the best drinking water systems you can buy and they last a long time. This will be my second one to install under the sink. We use it for drinking water and cooking. Since the water is so clean it taste great. The instructions are simple to follow and it comes with everything you need to tap into your water line. It does not take up a lot of space if you mount the filters on the inter wall of the cabinet. The filters are easy to install and change out and the tool comes with the water filter. The easy connects make it so simple to install. The water outlet that you install on the top above THE sink is super nice and is silver to match my faucets. Pur also sells different colors if you need a matching outlet for your sink. Why I chose this water filter is because the filters are cheap to buy every 6 months at around 35 bucks when others are around 100 bucks every 6 months. Just an over all excellent water filter system to have in my home
