Pre assembled
These file cabinets are commercial grade and weigh ~ 60 lbs. Very high quality as found in office environment. Key locking feature. File slide separator in each drawer. Heavy duty, thick steel construction except for aluminum grab handles and name plates on front. All around quality. Spacious and deep. Fast delivery, arrived square without any damages caused by shipper or whse. Highly recommend for small office. Worth the extra cost compared with lower end, less expensive cabinets. These are the real deal! Will repurchase if expansion requires more file space.

Damaged in 3 places, barely usable, shipping bad
I got NINE updates saying from Fedex saying "It will be delivered tomorrow." Finally on day 10 it was delivered. It looked like it had fallen off the truck or few times, or was sent by Hirsch in that condition.Obviously crushed in on front bottom corner, 2 places on top, etc. If I hammer out the worst corner the drawer slide, but not smoothly.

Quality metal file cabinets that are reasonably priced.
Upgrade from the "home" file cabinet that I've been making do with for several years. Nice to step up to a professional model.

We purchased the 2500 Series Legal-Size File Cabinet as a replacement for one that we purchased from another manufacturer over 30 years ago. This new file cabinet doesn't require additional file folder supports, and it has a better locking mechanism. It was packaged very well and arrived via FedEx ground damage free.
The drawers were all crooked. I returned it.
