Tile Cutter

Real nice tool at a good price

This tile cutter broke the first time that I used it. The piece that is used to line and hold the tile in place is made of plastic and broke in half when I tried to cut the tile.

Great Tool

This tile cutter is easy to use. The cuts are just a little jagged , but this is easily smoothed out with a 60 grit rubbing stone. The built-in measurements are nice so you don't have to measure and mark the tile. They are very hard to see and are made easier with a little yellow nail polish. The cutter arm bolt had to be loosened for a better feel of how much pressure is being applied to the tile.

Works well with some sizes

Works well with 4 x 4 or 8 x 8 tile. Any bigger or smaller the tiles tend to not cut as well. All in all I'm happy with the purchase & service.

Just did a bathroom job using 1/4 inch thick porcelain tile and the cutter woked perfectly on every cut.

Poorly designed

We bought this today needing it for a job. When I opened the package and tried to put it together the guide, which was fastened to the back with a screw, would not attach to the front with the same screw. The screw was too short to be able to be used and there was no other in the box. We returned it and checked another box but still no appropriate screw. We down sized to the 14" which works fine. Designers dropped the screw on this one.

Although it is not mentioned in the description, the tile box says this tile cutter cuts ceramic and PORCELAIN tiles !!!.
