These brackets work Great! Very cheap insurance if you ask me. Don't fall off the roof and break something. Using a 1x6 toe board will save your body from a nasty fall.
One caution, the metal strap should wrap around the 2x6...
One caution, the metal strap should wrap around the 2x6 completely to keep it from rotating. When standing closer to the outer edge of the 2x6 away from the roof, the edge closest to the roof wants to rotate up which could cause those nails or screws (used to secure 2x6 to the brackets) to pull out and then the 2x6 could rotate suddenly and lay flat against the roof. That would be bad.
