GREAT SHEETS 100% Recommendation

These Shavel Home Cotton Percale are the best sheets I have ever owned. Their crisp feel is so comforting & fresh. I now own 2 sets. Highly recommend.

Shavel Home Cotton Percale Sheet Set

These sheets are not soft. They are advertised as being "crisp". I would say they are somewhat stiff. They wrinkle quite a bit, even right out of the dryer. I like the color and they fit the bed well. They appear to be durable, and maybe they'll soften up over time.

Short Sheeted

Issue is that the King flat sheet is 108" x 104". This is about 8" shorter in width than a standard King so the sheet does not go down the sides of the bed far enough.

Wrinkles galore!

I bought this sheet set thinking percale didn’t wrinkle. This set wrinkles a lot, maybe because of the cotton in it. The set is also very noisy when you turn over in bed. I am disappointed in the set. Quality is less than I hoped for.

I bought some percale sheets a couple of years ago from Kohls and absolutely love them. So I tried buying these, and they were not too bad out of the package. I went ahead and washed and dried them, thinking it would get better. Well, now they are like a crumpled paper feeling. I will not sleep on them and highly DONT RECOMMEND THEM. DONT GIVE UP ON PERCALE, JUST GET A NICE BRAND.

What is Percale?

Love them. But Percale sheets are a PERSONAL preference! Many of the reviews are complaining of stiff, crisp, and wrinkles. For those of us that enjoy Percale sheets, we know these are all signs of a good sheet. If you are expecting a microfiber, silk, or 1500 thread count feel, DO NOT BUY! Please know what you are buying.

Like Sleeping On Paper

Don't order these sheets unless you like sleeping on paper. They are scratchy and stiff and would not soften no matter how many laundry hacks I tried. I wouldn't even donate these. Use them as a paint drop cloth or to cover something, but don't try sleeping on them.

Percale sheets -queen size

I like crisp percale sheets. These fill the bill. I gave it a 4 because I don't like the cost-cutting way the elastic is done on the fitted sheet (a common problem with all fitted sheets nowadays) & the top sheet could be a bit wider.

Sheets

I have very sensitive skin and they feel a little scratchy. I hope that they will soften up after several washings. They may be fine for people without sensitive skin.

Disappointed

I ordered this sheet set because to meet all my requirements. I failed to look for the thread count which turned out to be 450! I washed them before putting them on our bed. When I opened the dryer they were a wrinkled mess. They also felt coarse. I tried using fabric softener but that didn’t improve the coarseness. I blame myself for not checking the thread count so otherwise I would have returned them!

Crisp and cool

This is an excellent quality sheet set. The sheets are crisp and cool to the touch. My husband says that it feels like the sheets we had 30 years ago. Fits our thick mattress with ease. We are both very happy.
