This is the second one I have purchased (well, third - see below). It is perfect to use with a small solar bubbler for the birds. I had hoped the hummingbirds would like it, and even placed small rocks around the solar panel, as it is deep, but the larger birds like finches, Juncos, wrens and chickadees are happy - and the hummingbirds did not seem to care. My other one is green to blend in with the garden, but this red is to attract the hummingbirds. It works well when suspended from a tall shepherd's crook. Definitely recommend purchasing at Home Depot and having it delivered to the store, as then you can check if it is broken. I had ordered my first one from a pet store online and it arrived without a double box or much padding, so it was badly broken. The second one was perfect (double boxed, well padded) and now this one, which arrived unscathed. Should have just started with Home Depot in the first place!
