It's a great movie! I'm glad I bought it!!
[Rewarded Review] For those who enjoyed Silence Of The Lambs...
Brett Ratner's directorial interpretation of the prequel to The Silence Of The Lambs and Hannibal pops with a star studded cast. Hopkins reprises his role as Hannibal Lecter mentoring Edward Norton guiding him to retrace and uncover the serial killer The Tooth Fairy, played superbly by Ralph Finnes. This prequel provides plenty of gore, mystery, and intrigue to keep you glued to your seat. Definitely worth two plus hours of quality, psychological drama. Give the film a solid B for overall entertainment value. Blu-ray transfer and sound is fantastic. A must see!
[Rewarded Review] No complaints
Great film. Nice edition. Quick shipping.
[Rewarded Review] Red Dragon
Not a great movie (Manhunter is the better adaptation) but a great Blu Ray
Bummer
The video from DVD is not that noticeable weird colors throughout movie, did not do this movie any justice. It's ok to pickup at your local swapmeet for a buck or two not worth seven at stores.

I love this movie. It is very true to the book adaptation, and the casting is phenomenal. Just very, very well done.
Great Blu Ray Transfer
I have been a fan of the movies for a very long time I already have Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal on Blu Ray so I was very excited to find Red Dragon on Blu Ray. The picture was great. I am Glad that I replaced my DVD with Blu Ray.
Red Dragon: an amazing edition in every way.
Hannibal was a stylish yet uneven sequel to the immensly popular and well-deserving so "Silence of the Lambs". However, the ending of the novel was thrown away by Ridley Scott and the writers in favor of a more open one, sadly. There nevertheless was a nice rush of adrenaline to see Sir Anthony Hopkins back in the skin of good ol' Lecter. Less than a year after Hannibal (2001), Red Dragon (2002) is released in theaters. Directed by a most unusual choice (Brett Ratner), the movie had many chances of failing, but captured many scary moments on film, referenced to "Silence" as well as an impressive list of highly talented actors. Once again, Mr. Hopkins slips into Lecter as easily as a glove, but is always a treat to watch perform such a creepy role, Edward Norton is convincing with his portrayal, Ralph Fiennes delivers a chillingly scary performance and the formula of the last two films is still used to great benefits. Universal's Blu-ray disappoints in absolutely no place. The picture and audio quality is impressive to say the least. Usually fan of digital noise reduction, the grain is very much present without drowning the image. The sound pierces through the audio systmen and the supplements section ports everything (minus the trailers) from the 2-disc special edition DVD. It is the single greatest Hannibal Lecter on Blu-ray so far, and one can only hope other studios will take notice and offer such treatment to honor "Silence" the way it deserves. Bottom line, if you're looking for a Halloween movie or simply a chiller to scare you out of your mind, "Red Dragon" has all the right ingredients at the right time.
Gripping Drama
I bought the Hannibal Lector trilogy on DVD and of all three movies (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal), this one was my favorite. It was very satisfying to find out in this movie exactly who caught Hannibal and how he wound up in prison for several lifetime sentences. Then on to the next killer - Francis Dollarhyde, the "Tooth Fairy." That title is grim indeed. Tense action, chills enough for any hardened veteran of Hannibal fare, a whirlwind of emotion. Anthony Hopkins, of course, is at his wicked best as Hannibal the Cannibal. Cool, calculating, and INSANE! Loved the movie, the acting, the intensity on the screen that kept you edge of the seat moment to moment. A wowzer of a thrill ride, right down to the last minute. Highly recommended.
