Just a basting brush - nothing special, but does the job

Delicate enough for fancy potatoes

First use: brushing egg on the top of piped duchesse potatoes. Worked fine! (Oh, and because I don't have a piping bag I had used a small GIR silicone mat rolled into a funnel, and that piped them surprisingly well without wasting a plastic bag.)

Items are fine. Took 3 weeks for delivery.

Fine brush, does exactly what it is supposed to do …baste by brushing.

I haven’t used the brushes yet but have been pleased with all the other GIR products I have purchased and gifted

How to be great your husband

My husband thinks these are the best basting brushes EVER! And as a cook and griller he has used many. I think he actually crows about the GIR basting brushes! Thank you, GIR, as I luv to be great him and you helped me do that!

After using the spatula, purchased

After using the spatula, purchased the long basting brush (and a few other items). The brush is perfect for preparing the grill (grate) and the length works well to protect from the heat. Durable and not impacted at all by the 400+ degree temps. Would highly recommend.

Pretty much perfect in every

Pretty much perfect in every way. Used it yesterday to brush the the bottoms of sticky pecan rolls with butter before baking. Worked perfectly and cleaned up nicely in the dishwasher.

Shorter Than Expected

Love the GIR brand quality! I like the basting brush just fine, only the handle is a little short. The overall size is miniature compared to the GIR “ultimate” lineup. In fact, it is shorter than most GIR “mini” utensils. Would have preferred proactive communication that my order was on hold rather than needing to investigate myself. Although, service personnel were top notch after I reached out.

Perfect size; brush is made

Perfect size; brush is made of two types of structure—straight noodle on the outer layer and intermixed with flat slats perforated for the inside layer. Very effective to butter a pan or marinate food. To clean, just soak in hot or warm water with soap and swirl. That’s it. More colors would be great.

Great product

Great size and feel. The mix of bristle types help get more liquid onto your meat.

High value + quality

Silicone feels great, it’s a nice size for a basting brush, if anything it could be a little bit longer, but it’s good. I also like how easily it cleans up afterwards. It’s a high quality basting brush in a valuable package.
