Very Indestructible, it broke in 7 days.

I bought this for my 93 year dad because it states it has a lifetime warranty and it is indestructible. Not so, just give it to my dad and everything breaks. It broke after him having it 7 days. Not a good choice for him. Had to purchase another one since this one lifetime warranty is limited and they don’t honor it.

Poor Performer

This razor is underpowered. It makes funny noises when you press it to your face, and I feel that the bearings will not hold out for long. It does not shave as closely or as quickly as my previous Remingtons. next time I will buy a more powerful electric razor. I don’t expect this one will last long and it is a poor performer.

Absolutely horrendous.

Thought it would be a good idea to give this brand a shot. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed. Gave me a few cuts and THE WORST razor burn I’ve ever gotten from shaving ever. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Really good. This type product has problem for us older people when it comes time to replace blades. I have several other shavers I can't use. I tried to change the blades and ended up with only one blade cutting out of the three. I need to be able to change the entire head at once.

Lithium vs Nicad, no contest

In the past I have purchased a Remington wet/dry shaver. I love them. The reason I love it is because the batteries are Lithium batteries, which means you can charge it anytime. This “indestructible” razor comes with a Nicad battery, which means you have to run it until it’s dead. What an inconvenience! I didn’t even take it out of the box, just read the rules. I will stay with lithium razors anytime!

GREAT Bald head shaver!

While this did a so-so job shaving my face with issues under the chin, when I went to the rest of my head this smooth shaver shined!

I had an older Remington rotary shaver that I really liked. I used it until the battery finally gave out so I thought this might be a good replacement. If you don't use the stubble guard it pulls your hair badly. At first I thought it was the blades but then I tried it with the stubble guard and it cuts smoothly when it isn't right against your skin so the problem likely lies with the blade guards. If you only want to shave down to stubble this might be an okay choice. If you want a close shave I suggest looking elsewhere.

Great Warranty

I was attracted to the Limited Lifetime Warranty. The shaver works well. However, I would say that there are really no major technology breakthroughs in the shaving process. It runs and feels almost exactly the same as my old Remington Rotary Shaver. There may be improvements you cannot see in areas such as the rechargeable battery. It was the battery that gave out in my old Remington Shaver. Therefore. I am looking forward to a battery that truly lasts.

Product lives up to its promises!!!!!

By far the best shaver (and affordable also) for my husband's heavy beard. Over the years we used other more expensive models, with fairly good outcomes, but most of these failed to perform after some time and so the search for an affordable, but efficient product led us to this Remington Rotary shaver. Not disappointed. After the initial charge, this unit still provides a shave every morning. Also, the grip is helpful for an older person - just another laudable feature. Walmart's pricing is excellent, and their shipping and delivery very fast.

[Rewarded Review] Husband loves it

My husband loves the Remington virtually indestructible rotary shaver 5100. It gives a very close shave. The trimmer is great to cut longer hairs and get a straight line. Even when dry shaving, it doesn't irritate his skin. I noticed a spot that I missed while shaving my knee, so I used it to touch up what I missed. I was amazed how well it worked around the curves of my knee and that it didn't irritate my very sensitive skin. My husband did say that he wishes it was more powerful. Even when fully charged, it doesn't seem to be very powerful. I also love how easy it is to clean. It easily pops open and you can see the hair that it shaved off, and it is easy to rinse the hairs out. Overall it works great.

Great Value and Quality

I got this for my Father after his stroke and allow my mother to have a bit of freedom over when and how she can shave my Dad between his chair and the shower. Kinda putting the name 'indestructible' to the test, but it's been holding up very well and my mother has been very pleased with this shaver. Before switching him over to this razor, he was using a safety razor; but it looks like I now inherited his DE handle and spare razors... His last electric razor was a Phillips-Noreclo, but their quality been dropping over the years since I was first a young boy (now in my thirties) learning the art of shaving. I not only liked the price, but also the quality and already plan on buying my Dad replacement heads for his new razor soon.

I am amazed at how far technology has progressed with rotary razors to be able to make them so effective now and to be able to sell them at such a ridiculously affordable price as this razor sells for.
