Lit up my project!

Very impressed with the Armacost brand flexible strip lighting. I utilized approximately 11-1/2 feet of the 32.8 feet supplied. I had the perfect project in mind when selecting this. My toolbox has a steel plate on top with about a 4” plus overhang serving as a workbench. And because the drawers on my box do not open completely and with the overhang of the bench top, there is a terrible shadow leaving tools in the dark and difficult to sort through. Per the instructions, I cleaned the surface thoroughly. Measured and cut-to-length the needed flex ribbon. Measured and made several marks to give me a guide started on one end and pulled the lights straight and stuck. Took some time to make sure the tape stuck well. Now, the hang up I had, this strand of lights did not include the power supply so, I had to source that separately. It was really easy using The Home Depot app. Light work absolutely great. There are several colors you can choose plus multiple light output settings/dimming options. Two thumbs up!

Great for fun lighting projects

I have many fun lighting projects and like to use Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Multi-color LED ribbon strips due to their reliability and brightness. The Armacost LED ribbon strips offer a lot of different lighting applications and options. My current project is underlighting table and seating surfaces in my RV. Using a Armacost RGB controller (not included), I connect the LED 16.4' strips to the controller or it can wired the RGB color wires direct to a 18 - 24 Volt DC power source for fixed mono-color applications. The Armacost LED ribbon strips come with a 3M adhesive backer tape that allows for secure placement of the LED strips. LED strip can be cut to length using indicated cutting locations. I highly recommend Armacost Lighting RIbbonFlex LED strips.

Bright lights, easy to hide

Flexible LED lights are easy to install with the 3M tape backing. These lights can go almost anywhere and provide bright light of your color choice. Change the mood or highlight a color with these lights. The wire lead is just as thin and flexible for easy wiring. The LEDs have a wide beam angle to get the light spread out. No hot spots, no dark spots. These can be cut to fit and then joined together again with a connector. This makes it easy to route the light strip exactly where you want it.

5m with multi color

Got these for some accent lighting on our basement cabinets. They come on a reel so aren’t tangled. These are versatile in that they can be cut to desired length. Just need to use designated snap connectors as needed. Does come with 1 connector but we’ll need a couple more for our project. It sb noted that this does NOT come with power supply but those are pretty easy to find.

Good indoor LED lighting

This LED strip is a good option for undercabinet lighting or anywhere in the home that needs a little mood lighting. The strip is customizable as it can be cut to the desired length and wired back together (with additional connectors). Also, note this light strip does not include the adapter or remote, this is just the light strip by itself. You will need to purchase the adapter and remote to run these. The LED's are color changing and are 30 LED's per meter. Personally, I prefer the 60 LED per meter as they give a more uniform look but if you are looking for a little more spacing between the LED's, this will work. Again, personal preference. The strip comes with adhesive backing so you can "stick" it to most any surface. Just be sure to clean the surface beforehand as once you try to stick these, that's the only chance you're going to have to get the sticky to work. I have used lots of different LED brands in the past and this one is a bit unique in that the LED's are not covered by any clear plastic meaning these are really only suitable for indoor applications. Overall, these are good lights that are designed for indoor use and require a power supply and remote to operate.

LED Light Strip that Does It All

The Armacost Multi-Color Tape Light is easy to install anywhere because it self-adheres via a peel and stick backing. Photo 1 shows the protective film on the underside (back) of the strip which one removes and then presses to tape onto a clean surface. A key consideration when planning to use this product is to realize that ancillary equipment is necessary. First, one needs a 24-volt power supply. An excellent choice for this length of tape is the Armacost model 840600 product listed at https://www.homedepot.com/p/Armacost-Lighting-Universal-60-Watt-Dimming-LED-Driver-12-Volt-DC-Power-Supply-for-LED-Tape-Light-Strips-and-Other-LED-12-Volt-Lighting-840600/301931704 I believe that merely energizing the tape will illuminate it in an all-white steady mode. However, if one desires to take advantage of its multi-color and light pattern capabilities, then an LED remote control such as the Armacost model 714421 listed at https://www.homedepot.com/p/Armacost-Lighting-ProLine-Multi-Color-RGB-and-White-Wi-Fi-Remote-Control-714421/316452152? will provide that versatility. The instruction sheet addresses this issue. See Photo 2. The included instruction sheet is exhaustive and addresses cutting, splicing, terminating and all issues necessary. See Photo 3. A splicing connector for making transitions and 2 suspension clips are included in the parts package. See Photo 4. A long lead (See Photo 5.) neatly attached to the tape (See Photo 6.) will allow me to mount this tape on a stair stringer and shed dimmable continuous programmable color-selected light on my steps once I remove the uneven individual step lights I am now using. With the remote control I can adjust the light for dusk to dawn at a low intensity and color temperature of my choosing. No more flickering step lights as a motion detector triggers and/or pets activate them. And when I feel celebratory I can inject some playful color and pattern (dynamic effects) for a holiday. The generous lead wire will unobtrusively snake through the toe end of the stair stringer and allow the controller and power supply to be mounted underfloor attached to a timed circuit.

Easy to install, low profile, choose your color and intensity

Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Home 32.8 feet Multi-color LED Tape Light provides the ability to illuminate indoor surfaces. Multiple uses are possible, from under cabin lighting, accent lighting along stair wells, to in cabinet lighting. Low voltage LED tape lights run cool to the touch. The RibbonFlex tape light has 30 LEDS/meter and has cut/splice locations about foot apart. This is LED Tape light only; you must purchase separately a 24 volt power source and remote/controller. The Controller must be white and color capable. To install, simply peel the backing from the tape and stick. The tape comes with a long lead wire and one splice/corner kit, with splice/corner pieces available for purchase. This line of products from Armacost gives you the option to customize your installation with either a static white color LED tape light and onto the full range, color-changing LEDs or both. Included in the LED tape light package is a jumper to connect an additional LED tape or to join cut pieces, and two support clips to secure the beginning and end of the LED tape. Wiring accessories are offered "à la carte" allowing you to select the proper sized power supply, remote controller unit and any additional wiring accessories for your particular design. Just one of the features of these LED tape light is the 48-inch power lead connection to allow you to conceal the transformer and control unit out of sight if desired. Just a reminder though, these products are meant for indoor use only unless specifically noted.

This product just contains the light strip. The power supply and color controller are sold separately, so my review is just for the strip.

Great Under Cabinet Lighting Ribbon Flex LED Tape Light

Our kitchen was remodeled about three (3) years ago and I needed to replace some lighting and found the Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex LED Tape light with 30 LED lights. The tape light can be used as-is or for custom installs. I use mine underneath the kitchen cabinets to produce light for the kitchen counters without using overhead lighting and save on electricity. It is easy to install and should be considered a worthy investment if you need under cabinet lighting.

Fun RGB 8.2 ft LED tape with Full Color instructions

I requested this Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex Home 8.2 ft. (2.5 m) Multi-Color LED Tape Light 30 LEDs/Meter, White from the Home Depot Seeds reviewer program November campaign to install under our kitchen cabinets after the years of begging from my wife for under cabinet lighting. I was actually prepared to install this lighting under said cabinets until I realized the wire connectors require you to solder the wires to really tiny pins. Why not follow the standard that the networking industry follows and use a compression fitting?

Flexibility with Armacost ribbon

My advice to anyone is to start out with a light tape kit to insure everything is compatible with the proper plugs and transformer. These packets can be purchased to enhance and improve your light tape arrangement. This tape can be cut or added too depending on the wattage output of your transformer. You can use the tape to add light to many areas like under your wall cabinets in the kitchen. When purchasing light product double check that all components will satisfy your need such as dimmable or multi-color. This tape is an easy and inconspicuous way to add light to many areas that a fixture may not work.

Great product

This ribbon flex multi color LED tape light is perfect for some many applications. Easy to wire up and install under cabinets, behind your television, under stairs or literally any where you want to add some glow. I love the way it looks in the television room giving enough light to see if you need something but not so much that you can not enjoy your movie and relax.
